I don't know why but many people said that chihaya will end up with Taichi and it's really pissed me off if Chihaya will end up with Taichi. I want her to be with Arata . So can I ask to all of you if you see who will she end up with and who is your favourite character in here Arata or Taichi. If you haven't read it or watch it you must absolutely see it because my brothe who don't like shoujo/jousei when he watch this he become addicted LOL. Okay thanks for the reply ________________ yeah yeah just a girl who like reading comic and play japanese otome game and don't like to study because it's annoying. well i really love comic all genre except mecha,yaoi,yuri and hentai no please gosh !

Personally, I'm an Arata fangirl, but the way the manga is going, it really looks like it's gonna be Taichi. We can see Arata as the 'start of it all', but Chihaya never really gets to interact with him at all. He's just become a symbol. As for Taichi, he's become that 'something that has been in front of you all along'. We can really see that in volume 3 chapter 11 (the chapter where they recruit Tsukue-kun) where he thinks during his match with Chihaya: "Chihaya, the one in front of you is me!" All this time, while it's Arata who's been the firestarter, it's Taichi who's been walking alongside Chihaya all along, the one supporting her and helping her grow to become a better competitive karuta player. So yeah, story-wise, it wouldn't make sense if Chihaya ends up with Arata when it's been Taichi who's had the spotlight all this time. -EDIT- Last edited by phanzanu at 9:59 am, Jan 5

Here for the lulz Member 3:38 am, Jan 17 2012 Posts: 781	Both guys are likeable so it's really hard to choose. xD Even though Taichi gets a lot more screentime, it always goes back to Arata. Even though Taichi has been much more proactive on his feelings for Chihaya, she's never exactly shown interest in them; all that she thinks about is Karuta (and playing against Arata/becoming the queen). Every time she's shown any moderate interest, it's always going back to Arata....she's always thinking of him. Arata's doing his own thing in Fukui while Chihaya & Taichi are in Tokyo, so it makes sense that he doesn't have much screentime. Also, we know that Arata's family isn't that well off, so it makes sense that he hasn't moved to Tokyo (yet) since that would make it more of an economical struggle for his mother...which, knowing him, wouldn't want that. Anyways, shipping outta the way, she's not thinking of establishing any sort of relationship with either of the guys nor has she shown any romantic interest in them as well. ________________ ~Diddle~ Taste the Beat

Member 12:51 am, Apr 8 2012 Posts: 35	For starters, I really doubt that this manga will ever show who she ends up with. I just don't think it's a romance at all. It is tagged as romance on this sites but This site tends to tag almost every series as romance regardless of it it has any romance or not. However, if there does turn out to be a coupling at the end, it will be Arata, otherwise, there's no point to the story. She herself has also said many times that she plays this game in order to meet that person again. She also lights up like a Christmas tree when he sends a message to her. Her feelings may also just be her admiration of Arata as a player. But also keep in mind that this girl is blind to everything that has nothing to do with this card game. She seems to have no interest in romance and they may be as far as this manga goes. Poor Taichi though, you can tell he loves her and always has and he is bitter with jealousy of Arata. According to the rules of fiction writing and shoujo manga in general, she will end up with Arata, But that's only if the Author has a coupling planned. ________________ Jeffrey

Member 3:53 am, Jan 14 2013 Posts: 304	I honestly doubt that Chihaya will end up with anyone simply because she doesn't seem all that interested in romantic relationships. In my opinion, Chihayafuru isn't a romance. The only romance going on is Taichi's love for Chihaya and Chihaya's feelings for Artata (though it's unclear if she likes him or just admires him.) Arata isn't given enough screen-time so I'm not sure about where he stands on anything really. If Chihaya doesn't end up with Arata, then I hope she doesn't end up with anyone. Sorry Taichi. (lol)

Member 12:09 am, Mar 16 2013 Posts: 7	I also agree that Chihaya should end up with Arata, but given the amount of coverage Arata gets this mangaka seems to be leaning towards Taichi. The latest chapters where Chihaya was in the hospital where she was calling Arata, seems like it's admiration and love. Karuta has always been the bridge between them and this has never stopped through the story, sorry Taichi, but you are nothing but a side character to her or a stepping stone she wants in front of her. From the beginning I never liked Taichi, he was someone who had everything from looks to smarts and also had an arrogant attitude that made me want him to never succeed. So yeah, if Chihaya doesn't end up with Arata, I hope she doesn't end up with anyone else too.

And I can see good points in Arata and Taichi of being potential lovers for Chihaya, so it all comes up to what she considers as love.
