Victim or in the aspect of a bully. (Perspective or protagonist is a Male antagonist w/e)

For the victim perspective, if the victim (like Jae Gu in Girls of the Wild's) has a pretty traumatic background, difficult, almost suicidal even. It need not go the cliche route but it'll suffice given the amount of subject we have it'll do. Also, could it be as psychological as possible? I'm into some dark stuff, but no guro for the love of all that is normal.

Bully perspective, a seriously messed up personality, in the end losing everything. (Be it losing to the victim/becoming a victim) Not much material here yet again, but something anyone of you can sympathize with the bully protagonist will do. I sometimes think bullies have souls too, so if there's a manga which makes you reach out or condone the bullies act(s) is a plus.

Also, the more pathetic the individual is THE BETTER. I might sound like a sadist but I find a really pathetic position people are in (victim or bully) is a insightful yet raw aspect of human nature/

Seinen, shounen, drama, action are all fine. No guro, shoujo please.

20th century boys has alot of elements of that.

Akuma to love song fits perfectly. Also, you might want to take a look at some of Keiko Suenobu's works, such as Life and Vitamin. However, thay are very dramatic and dark.
