Im talking about something that happened that was just mindblowing, in a bad way ofc embarrassed
I myself cant think of anything atm since i just thought of this and am curious if the community has some to share.
Not meant to diss a mangaka in any way, just for fun

Did you mean 180°? Because 360° is like spinning around and facing the direction you were facing before...

And no.

A 180° turn in the manga? Of course... well, depends on how you understand it.
There are tons of manga, which have an incredibly interesting setting, whose mangaka decide to persue the stereotypical easy way, instead of sailing to new shores. The two manga in my mind are:

1. Code Breaker
Started as a good manga, exploring the issue whether killing the bad is justice, whether wrong plus wrong is good, or just whether the worlds needs something like this from a pragmatic point of view.
What the author did of this is a stereotypical battle manga, with so many unbelievable (in the bad sense) twists that I doubt he/she even has a grand plan for the manga.

2. Shina Dark
Incredibly funny setting. The dark lord awakes and, according to old legends, the countries send 1000 beautiful virgins in total to his island, in fear of his wrath that might destroy the world. The problem is that the "dark lord" is not so bad after all (or maybe not?) and the old legends are just made up garbage (or maybe not?). So he ends up with a thousand cast out maidens on his island and plenty of wannabe heros who are after his life and everybody living on his island.
What the mangaka decided to make out of it... I cannot even describe... it's not brainless fanservice, as the setting might imply, it's just... weird...

Can't say I know any 360s, but I do know a couple of 180s.

I second Code: Breaker - It would have been so much more interesting had it continued along the line JustPassingBy pointed out, about whether two wrongs equal a right, or is killing ultimately an evil deed no matter what. It would have been more interesting to see the naive female protagonist get a dose of reality. What actually happened was the 'evil' male protagonist became your typical cliche shonen hero-for-justice-and-friends and a big special power user battle broke, in which nearly every character nearly dies multiple times, gives a defiant cry of some sort and ends up getting spontaneously stronger. Even the secret evil organisation is now cliched to the max.I can't really pin down when it all went wrong, but it is definitely a WTF happened? Major disappointment.

Maburaho - So much was wrong with this manga, that I don't even know where to start. The anime was at least watchable, if barely, but the manga was just terrible. The concept actually had potential, a long line of talented wizards produce a untalented boy. Even adding in the irritating harem theme, this was still just your standard shonen cliches, so bad, but not terrible.
But then!
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
He becomes a ghost. Seriously, wtf!? I really can't remember if this only happens in the anime or not, but either way it was ridiculous. Killed off the entire story.

Pretty much the only thing this manga has going for it is the art work, the characters lack personalities, the plotline is weak, and the entire thing lack any semblance of sense or interest. I think my nephew could write a better story and he's 5.

I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of them right now. I pay more attention to ratings than I used to so I avoid the less entertaining manga out there.

Yuu Yuu Hakusho, believe it or not. Though the 180 occurs really early in the manga and maybe not at all in the anime?
It starts off with Urameshi Yuusuke trying to do good deeds in order for himself to be resurrected due to him not being supposed to die (Captain Tsubasa shoutout if you can spot it) and it's a series of heartwarming short stories involving spirits and such.
Then 180 it turns into a battle manga.

It was a successful 180 though since this is when the manga really started gaining popularity...

I don't see the problem with the Title of the Thread.

The Mangaka is doing it in one direction, then he does a 360ª turn an "Moon walks" away.

Also, "Hitman Reborn" much?

It started as a love comedy -180ª-> now is a classic example of an action shonen manga, most of their powers are REALLY made up, and every single arc have at least 3 or 5 powers up for their weapons.

It happens all the time in mangas, but i tough it fits well in the thread.

EDIT: Just to make it clear, i still read it, once i start reading something is really odd for me to drop it even if i don't like it anymore
