thankfully i dont think ive seen mention of it here, but i remember several occasions of people complaining that the author used photoshop assist, instead of traditional art. im not the only one who considers that complaint flat out retarded am i? especially considering the fact that the realism from the photoshop actually matches up with how realistically harsh the manga can be... kinda leaves no room to believe the manga will by a happy go lucky fairy tale story o.o.
anyway just wanted to know if my opinion was in the minority or majority.

People that complain about "photoshoping" are just ignorant. They clearly aren't artists. And it's not like there's an assist button in Photoshop. It's just much more effective to use than a pen. It'd be like a novelist complaining about using computers to type, and that everything should be hand-written on parchment or something. The artist in Gantz uses 3D programs to get everything to look proper, and frankly I'm very thankful. I'm not a fan of chibi looking people. I enjoy seeing talented artists that can make incredible looking characters. I don't enjoy when the only difference in characters is their hair. So I agree with you. I love the art in Gantz, it's among my favorites and has a style that is very recognizable.
