This poll from MewMan is slightly vague, but oh well. Interpret it how you like. Also could use more choices, but it's past midnight right now and I don't have that creative mood right now...

You can discuss this poll on our forums here:
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=30365

You can submit poll ideas here (and try to keep them manga/anime-related):
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=3903

Previous Poll Results:
Question: How do you prefer your manga titles?
Choices:
Author's native language (kanji, hiragana, Chinese characters, etc.) - votes: 1912 (17.4%)
Roman lettering (romaji, pinyin, etc.) - votes: 5133 (46.7%)
The official title in my native language - votes: 2341 (21.3%)
The "popular" title in my native language (if different from official) - votes: 1611 (14.6%)
There were 10997 total votes.
The poll ended: November 26th 2011

The poll wasn't as specific as I would liked it to have been (now that I can look back into the past). Needed to break down English as more choices...

PS: In other news, late thanks for manga in honor of Thanksgiving!

That would be varying per person. Whether manga affect the way of how someone thinks, unless the manga itself is pretty extreme in term of contents. I don't think i should point out "which" of the extreme thing. As for me though i read some of the Adult-intended(non-hentai) manga, it haven't affected me is some ways. More like it gave me view of an adult's way of thinking(i stressed view because i don't entirely know what is adult's way of thinking).

As i see it. reading manga that is directed beyond our age does affect our way of thinking. Especially for teens and children. A kid reading an adult or mature manga can totally change his view on the world. The worst thing is a kid haven't got enough experience to differentiate whats morally acceptable, or appropriate or not from those manga.
Even adults can also change their views after reading an interesting manga, but adults can choose what he want to believe, and what is appropriate to apply in the world. Kid's doesn't have that luxury,....... yet.
I wonder what happen to a child who got exposed on some yuri or yaoi stuf....

In a way, it's a Yes and No Answer. Sometime manga doesn't affect our ways of thinking consciously, however it might have on a subconscious level and vice versa. Thus it is hard to say.

when I was younger I liked lame romance, but now I like plots that are interesting and original, and art that is what I consider "good". Nowadays, I can't get through a series or even start reading a series unless the art is good.

No, but it does affect my mental health. I mean, for the love of God do people in shounen series ever turn the volume down and react calmly? It's like the writers think the louder someone yells and more freakishly they overreact the funnier the joke is. LOUD = FUNNY, RIGHT?? RIGHT??!! It makes me miss the old Looney Tunes' calm, appropriate and measured responses (relative to this at least). And why are they always so hyperactive and "hot-blooded" over freaking nothing. Even 10 years ago when I was younger I found that odd and slightly disturbing, though there were less examples of it than now.

Also, if you've read Standard Shounen™/Shoujo™ you've literally read 98% of the others. Please mix up or innovate new formulas and character interactions for the plots. PLEASE. Ow, my brain.

I will go one step higher and declare that reading manga in general has affected my way of thinking. Doesn't matter what age group it's inteded for, because as a non-Japanese reader everything about manga is a grand mindfakk.
