I didn't start to realllllly get into manga until the end of 2003, so it's been around 6-7 years for me.
I've read a lot of titles, some may even be uncounted.. I started keeping track of my mangas when it hit the 300 mark. (With my personal customized txt file! :3) So I tried to list everything I remembered, and from then on, I had to keep track of what genre it was, and which was the latest chapter I should read and etc.
I still remember it clearly. I read Hana Yori Dango volume 4, and the only reason I picked it up was because the cover was "childish." (Crayon drawn flowers.) Who knew it would be one of my favorite series.

hm... since 2004 or 2005 I believe. First manga I read was dragonball although that hardly counts
There is hardly any manga to buy where I live so i started with looking for the Love Hina anime on the internet. While i was looking for anime I came across online manga.
regarding how many mangas I've read... I srsly don't know the count. I know it's BIG though.I've probably read hundreds. I've been reading manga daily for 6 years now so I've read most that's worth reading.
My manga progress has been halted by the lack of manga lately though. I've read all the good ones and I'm getting more picky with what I read too. It was so simple when I could just pick a well known manga I haden't read yet, I diden't care what I read either so it diden't realy matter how good the manga was.

The first manga that I read was probably Yu-gi-O which I read in Shonen Jump (along with Dragon Ball Z). I didn't really read manga very much after that although I picked up the next issue of Shonen Jump. After a few years I picked up a copy of Shojo Beat and read it for absolute boyfriend which I absolutly hated after a while so I stopped buying it. A couple of issues later my friend showed me chapter 3 of vampire knight and after that I became hooked on VK which led to other manga. I was in Grade 9 so I've been reading manga solidly for 4 or 5 years.
As to how many ... I have no idea. I go through manga quickly so probably 300-400+ because I don't put all of the manga that I read on my lists ...

I think I started picking up manga aside from the general super-popular stuff around the end of 2007/beginning of 2008. So about two and a half years.
I've finishing reading or am caught up on about 500 series at this point

I been reading manga since 2005 when I first read Fushigi Yuugi and I haven't stopped reading manga ever since.
As for how much manga I read...Oh, I dunno, waaaay too much to count. About 200-300, I guess.

I think it was around 2005? I fell in love with Gakuen Alice's anime and decided that I needed to know more about it and found out about the manga. Ever since then I got addicted to reading the manga counterparts of anime I really loved Then I started reading more... And now I've transformed into more of a manga fan than anime lulz

First time? I believe it was somewhat at the end of 2008. It happened to be when I was watching Tokyo Mew Mew (anime) and then I got my hands on Tokyo Mew Mew a la Mode (first manga I read) and read that. Then it led to me asking my friends for titles they liked and the second title I read was Ouran HSHC. A year later, I picked up reading manga again at the end of 2009 and I read crazily on whatever I could get my hands on. I felt guilty reading manga when I should've studied for my exams last year....*cough* But I don't regret being introduced to manga. As you can see on my lists, I'm currently reading 60(+) series right now. I can get through 3 or 4 volumes in an hour now...(or lesser when I have slow internet when I've used up too much GB's from over reading).

I don't know about really reading, but I read my first manga in middle school. My older sis sent a package and my brother told me not to read the books- it just couldn't be helped.
I guess I could consider it really reading. I started with Yu-gi-oh then read a series I had thought were more volumes of in the box. There weren't, and it left off at a cliffhanger so I was pissed (Though now I can't imagine why). Later that night I was walking around in Barns and Noble and recognized a book as one from the box. I had been angrily thinking it was going to be retarded all day but I couldn't stop laughing as I read it. That wasn't long after I started Yu-gi-oh, and after that I obsessively read and re-read all the manga in that box.
Actually now that I think about it I had some of the comic adaptions of one of the Pokemon mangas in elementary (Still my most re-read series) but I didn't find out it was a manga till much later.
