either or depends on quality of art and/or story. avoiding something just because a tag is silly 
a line from peacemaker has stood in my mind for a long time. some to the effect of
guy 2 "dont walk in the middle of the path!!!"
guy 1 "where else should i walk"
i know i know its talking about roads but still stood in my mind for years

In VNs i usualy get a bit annoyed when i didnt really see it coming i guess
same with dating sims...
but when i read manga i dont really mind ntrism
when i play a game i feel like i am that person
its very rare that i feel connected with characters that way in a manga
so as long as i like the overall story[not very likely since its most likely a romance story] i dont care

as long as the sex is hot and the art is beautiful, i dont care. i'm not easily emotionally invested on characters I want to fap to.
i prefer rape anyway.

I'm getting bored by the tons of Vanilla out there
same story
sometimes i don't even bother to read the bubbles
its just some few authors or a rare new jems that sometimes spring-up and spice the usual vanilla
thats why I'm turning more and more toward abnormal stuff
Lollis, Traps, Shotas reverse rape, bestiality ....etc but I'm not yet in tentacles and Guro territory XP

Hmm.. difficult question. On one hand, I don't like NTR that's too cruel, but on the other hand, I don't like boring vanilla. I guess NTR has a better chance than vanilla to be serve it's purpose as porn? Personally, I do like some rape plots, but I like NTR only when the guy stealing the girl is actually attractive, it's much more believable XD

NTR is a good excitement component but not limited to sex scenes. It's been used in novels and comics with adult romance background, many closely related to real life. The term NTR become more popular after being ported to some stupid AV / adult games which made it a fetish with frank sex scenes in front of previous partner.
But extra-relationship affair is not that rare in real life although not wanted mostly. As a component for plot development, it's definitely alright. There only are a few H manga/anime which really have plots, so the chance of getting good NTR is from seinen or josei works. NTR can be seen as spice or explosives, it can trigger positive reactions like closer relationships, and negative ones like murder.
