I have about $100 in game store credit and am at a loss for finding a PSP game worth playing.
Honestly, genre really doesn't matter anymore. Any PSP games you think is worth playing please do mention it!
Please do leave a recommendation if you have one!

I loved Persona 2. It's a remake of an older game so the graphics aren't amazing, but they aren't too bad either and before long I didn't notice it. The game play was fun and it's one of my favorite games storyline wise (at least in the top five, if not first). The music is great too.

I really enjoyed persona 3 fes on the ps2 and supposedly p3 portable is pretty much the same thing, except it has p4's slicker combat.

Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. it's a tad old but the graphics are amazing!
the games play itself is the traditional FF game play which i , personally, don't like but the the story, art and character captivated me! And I the story was so sad that i ended up crying as I played it TT^TT
I totally Second Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep as well  It's a fantastic addition to the Kingdom Hearts series

The Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky long name but great game even two anime ova's to download. Got good ratings but nobody seems to have played it.

Ys is fun, it's an action adventure RPG. The first game is actually the first to games on one UMD, Ys III is good but kinda weak overall, and I've heard good things about Ys 7.

star ocean the second evolution
it's a remake of a ps1 game. but it's still great.
you could try watching the anime first, though its not as good as the game.
