After reading this manga, Orange. It made me brain fart one that I read sometime ago, but the name of it eluded me. I browsed the search engine for a couple of days and came up empty.

The situation is different than Orange and these events and characters are maybe's or I believe's from what I can remember so take the description as such.

This one involves three childhood friends. The one in question is the shy one of the bunch and he liked the girl, but she has eyes for the other more popular outgoing friend so never looked his way. Something happens and he's hit by a car chasing after something or pushing someone to safety and the timid boy dies. Somehow though in the future I want to say an animal brings them back in the past or just the girl and she realizes what's happened and tries to correct the wrong and eventually falls for the timid boy.

I can't remember if it's a long oneshot or a short two or three chapter story. Any names would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds similar to one of the oneshots in the last volume of Boku ni natta watashi - the change of feelings line.

Thank you, marshy03! I knew I'd read this, and was pretty sure it was SHIMAKI Ako, but I couldn't remember what it was in. It's such a good story.
