I honestly want to know. There is just such a high volume of titles with tsunderes, and I can't stand any of them. I can't understand the appeal at all.

No kidding. All their reactions are too predictable.

Do you REALLY hate tsunderes though?
But yeah tsunderes are only good if they get broken. not fun to watch a spineless lead get steamrolled by a tsundere for 26 episode because lol plot.

Although I don't hate them, I don't think they're a good thing. I have on at least one occasion dropped a series because of a tsundere.
I have also enjoyed a few well executed tsundere's appearances. But most are just poorly written stock characters.

I do not like tsunderes at all. Too annoying and simply shows a lapse in characterization. It's unlikely to meet so many tsunderes in real life as the number of them in mangas.

Sometimes they piss me off, but other times I think they are adorable. I guess it depends on the level of tsundere.

The problem isn't Tsunderes, it's that Tsundere attitudes are most often used to drag out a plot for volumes on end. They're honestly no different than the shrinking violet style characters that can't confess for 5 years worth of manga.
Basically...if a character is tsundere solely to drag out the love confession, it's irritating. Characters that are simply moody are generally amusing.

i like tsundere, a lot of harem manga i read have at least one of this type, so i get used to them. however, i hate abuse, so if the tsun-tsun part too abusive i can be very reluctant to read on. but abuse from yandere is okay! that's their selling point.

They can be incredibly annoying. There is a difference between being cold and abusing a love interest. I hate abuse period and I dislike when double standards are invoked or when no one gets called on their bull. It's incredibly rare for a tsundere to change their ways. The only character I remember having such a title that I like is Keiko from Yu Yu Hakusho and that is because I don't consider her tsundere. The only thing I guess that defines her a tsundere is the tension and her ability to snap when justifiably provoked.
I don't hate all of them, but the majority do irk me big time.

Yea I dislike them as well. The only time I'll ever tolerate them if that character is a childhood friend. Childhood friend characters are my favourite type of characters. I generally don't read manga that have tsunderes in them unless there's another character that isn't a tsundere.
Nisekoi is a good example its a nice manga but it has 3 tsunderes. I would have stopped reading it if it weren't for that one non-tsundere/normal character.

Depends for me too, but generally unfavorable. Especially if they are the loli type and the main characters' primary love interest.

There's a point when everything you read is predictable. Talk to me again when you get there.

I like some of them but I cant stand the constantly bitchy and bossy ones who get away with everything. The types like Kirino from Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai are just awful and she just gets away with everything. It's more tolerable in something like say Nisekoi where the guy doesnt just bow down and kiss her ass.
