I noticed that I do like the quiet female characters (I'm not that great at telling dandere from kuudere, so I use the term kuudere for both). So I've been wondering if there are any male characters like that.

Please no: Hentai / Shounen Ai/ Shoujo Ai / Reverse harems

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei qualifies, not sure about any others, following thread with interest..

14-sai no Koi is really sweet and both of them are quiet
you could try Allison he is the intelligent, quiet type while she is the tomboy

Kudou Senri from Seiyuu-ka! and Oogami from Code:Breaker I think fulfill the criteria.

I think Oreki from Hyouka is one of the best example in the kuudere category. And oh, tvtropes lists Kyon (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu) and Death Note's MC as kuudere, but I'm not really sure about that.
