The art, plot, characters and the relationships that I see occur and sometimes ill give it a shot if its by a mangaka that I love. What makes you choose to read and continue reading a manga?

As a side question what makes you need to stop reading?

Usually the thing that makes me continue reading or not continue, is just my mood.
Im quite accepting almost any kind of manga from any kind of art, plot and character.
But the problem is, sometimes when I thought, hmmm alot of people recommend this manga, it has good art, plot, character and development, but when I read it myself, I still could get bored/dislike it if Im not in the mood.
On the other hand, when I stumble accidently to some unknown manga with bad art, bad character and bad plot, but OMG look my mood is very good right now, heck I read it anyway and I practically could enjoy it.
Because I think manga is created by the mangaka with their own motive. Either to amuse, to scare, to make us fall in love with certain something/someone, etc.

So, in short :

What makes me choose to read and continue reading a manga? Good Mood

What makes me need to stop reading? Bad Mood.

Extra :
Sometimes bad mood also can make me choose to read manga so that the mood would become Good Mood, hopefully. bigrazz

Well, first the manga has to be good. I can't stand annoying protagonists and cliche plots. If there's some big mystery or final destination that shows hope of being resolved later in a manga, I'll continue reading it because that kind of stuff keeps me trapped. I also tend to continue romances where the two characters I'm shipping will eventually end up together, though sometimes the story becomes boring afterwards and I quit -unloyal-.

I'll drop a manga fast if a main character does a sudden 180 personality-wise with inadequate explanation or if the conflict becomes too ridiculous and convoluted. I also hate it when a manga becomes too engrossed in side character's stories or romances... sure, I enjoy it when a chapter or two is devoted to supporting characters in order to flesh them out, but I often read mangas for their likable main characters, and it's boring if they're ignored for too long.
