At the moment I'm looking for certain gender bender mangas where the boy or girl disguises themselves as the opposite gender and attends a school for whatever purpose. What would would be ideal are ones where he/ she hides out in school dormitories for a period of time. Hana Kimi and Tenshi Ja Nai!! would be two such examples (both are very good mangas).

Family Compo (interesting plot RECOMMENDED) er... probably Shonen
Gacha Gacha (later on in series) Shonen
Pretty Face (hilarious HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) Shonen
No Bra Shonen
Ouran High School Host Club (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) Shojo
Ranma 1/2 Shonen?? dunno actually
Tokyo Crazy Paradise Shojo
White Dragon (short but RECOMMENDED) Seinen
Yubisaki Milk Tea (RECOMMENDED) Seinen?
If u like Hanakimi and Tenshi Ja Nai then W-Juliet is similar plotwise, i'd say like only a few of the ones above are shojo, most are shonen or seinen
I had a huggeeee gender bender addiction a while back =/ had to question my sexual orientation for a while while reading them too

lol i know what you mean, its hard to explain to people without a odd reaction that this is about a manga transexual/crossdresser/intersexed character just being normal

otoboku is so weird, isn't only like 6 or so chapters of the manga scanned? if you're going for that then watch the anime which is 12 epi with 1 ova long.

Yeah, there isn't much manga material available for Otoboku, but so far I like the manga more than the anime. The anime is badly paced (thanks for panning through the picture rather than animating a scene all the time. It's just lovely) and I wasn't too impressed with the musical score, while with the manga there were a lot more jokes filling up the time when nothing was happening, and details thrown in that improve the overall pacing.
