Hi Hi!!! I am in need of a REALLY good yaoi novel. I say novel because I need something to read while at work and I can't really have a yaoi manga pulled up on my screen *sad*. And before you ask YES I have wayyyy too much free time at work. I have already read Sekaiichi Hatsukoi - Yokozawa Takafumi no Baai (Novel) as well as Only the Ring Finger Knows~(Both manga and novel). The only thing I am asking for is that it be fully translated. It can be based off of a manga or have a manga based off of it ~ it doesn't really matter. Thanks in advance! smile

S (Novel) and The Man Who Doesn't Take Off His Clothes (Novel) are two novels almost everyone I know likes it.

Yaoi novels are actually novels about two gay men, right? (Me being logical again), so you could try reading other gay novels too because there are WAY more novels than what's on mangaupdates bigrazz

Thanks much dalek those both look very good and I will give them a try. ^.^

Hey Phooenix yeah, I actually own a few 'gay' novels that have been written by authors here in the US ex: the Archangel Academy series by Michael Griffo (this has been the best one I have read thus far). Those were really good, but the ones that are set in Japan seem to be a bit better. Like, Yokozawa Takafumi no Baai was great. I like that arc more than the other characters in SH. Thanks SO much for that search list! I just can't for the life of me figure out how to work that search thingy properly. ^.^

You want your novels to be fully translated/available online, yes?

Well... These aren't on Mu, but they're too good to ignore. Seriously, they're quality fiction. A simple google search will show you the link to read:

The God Eaters by Jesse Hajicek --It's brilliant. Unique.
The guys spend at least half of the book IN A FRIGGEN PRISON FOR 'MAGICALLY TALENTED' PEOPLE and both main characters have powers: one has witchy powers, and the other is an empath. And both are way up there in terms of sheer BADDASSERY.

Heart in Hand by salifiable -- HOCKEY. Dude, have you read any 'yaoi' novels about sport; let alone hockey?!?

Special Forces -- war, in all its gory realism

Morning Star -- thief/detective + Witty banter = WIN

In the Company of Shadows -- Protags part of a covert organization, dabbling in espionage and assassinations and other dangerous deeds~ Warning: It's absolutely ANGST GALORE there.

Oh yes, and there are WAY MORE that should be checked out (eh, I don't have the time to list them all), this link has heaps of the popular ones:

The Slash Pile is also a noteworthy place to browse~
Fanfiction.net actually has some really great completed stories there too
^^ I can provide some recs from over there if you're willing to read stuff from that~

In fanfiction.net
Google search:

Yugioh:
Being Dead Ain't Easy by d.Draggy -- complete. Ghost Joey! Hilarious!

Homecoming by fiver --Incomplete, but AMAZINGLY good. Drowning in angst though

Naruto:
Dead Last -- Again, it's incomplete, but it's friggen Hilarious!

Death Note:
Poison Apple -- Complete. A fairytale spin on Light and L. Warning: packed full of PLOT and DARK!
ANGST and MYSTERY and TWISTED, TWISTED 'LOVE'. Not for those faint of heart. You need to know the general plot of Death Note to understand this.

The Art of Drowning -- Sadly incomplete.

Sherlock Homes:
Alone on the Water --Complete. Oneshot. Damn sad.

Harry Potter-Avatar Crossover
Firefly --Wow. Never seen that pairing before.

Harry Potter:
Wind that Shakes the Seas and Stars --Complete.
...
Eh, this is like the 5th BOOK (YUS it's novel length!) of a series, starting from Saving Connor, and I reckon it's the best one. Requires quite a lot of patience to sift through the first book though... You actually have to read the previous books to understand this...
BUT THIS HAS ONE OF THE BEST fanfic Harry Potter UNIVERSES (fully fleshed out!) I've every seen-- It's wonderfully plotty and unique. IT READS LIKE A NOVEL. A damn good one at that. And it's got a totally NEW take on 'Light and Dark' and the whole magical system in general.
