Hi everyone.
I just recently got into reading light novels and the my track record only consists of one series till now which is Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria (Novel) really loved it btw.
I have watched the two seasons of haruhi suzumiya plus the movie. I want to read the novels, but i am confused as to where to start reading.

Start reading with the first one, naturally.
From what I remember the anime (I've only seen the first season) & novels are similar but not exactly the same, and the novels have a charm all their own.

I've already read 11 volumes of Suzumiya Haruhi light novels. You should read the novels in order, since that was how it was intended to be. It was the anime that was shown in nonlinear order and you have to do a little research if you want to watch the anime in the order similar to the light novels. The novels were great and I enjoyed reading them. I hope you will find them enjoyable too. Happy reading.

I believe the OP was asking which light novel to start with where it would pick up the story after the anime.
I agree with TofuQueen btw, and you should read the light novels as they are unique and interesting in their own way.

I did my own research and I guess it's true that the novels are different than the anime. I'll try to read from the start, right now though im reading volume 5 which contains endless 8 already covered in the anime.
Thanks for your input.
