I remember a specific manga about ww2 i think. It starts off with the relationship between a master and his servant, japanese household. The master is a bit older and he went away to study at university, he gave the servant a book. While at the university he realizes that he is gay, anyways he comes back home after afew years and his servant had turned 18. In order to keep his master from going off to war the slave shoots him in the leg and calls it a hunting accident. Then the slave has to take care of the master and the house gets bombed. I think later on when the master has to use the bathroom he falls and so the servant goes in to help him and wipe him down. I dont recall what happened after that really except that the master made the servant strip and then just sorta ranted about sex. Later on in the story the servant asks if he can hold the master, the master says yes but the servant must leave to war right after. He agrees, they do and then years later the servant finds the master at a brothel. Dont know the ending but i hope someone can find this

Is it Haru ni Kogarete? I looked up World War II and master-servant categories and that's the closest thing I could find.

The master/servant descriptor initially made me think of Agnus Dei by Sadahiro Mika...
I haven't read it, but try Kinryouku no Mori (by the same mangaka).
