Maybe your mind, but not mine. Lin's father never crossed my mind, because with Toph as a mother, who cares who her father is (it would be better though if he was just a faceless guy not from the original series)

Who knows who Lin's father is. Its possible that they explain that Toph found someone in comic series, but I wouldn't say that it's an important issue.
