Hey guys! Due to some reason I myself do not know, I always pushed back the time to read this Manga. I guess about 10 years ago, I was watching its Anime every time it aired on TV. If my memory is as good as I think it is, the Anime adaptation ends when Gon uses the cards he wins to go meet his father who was sitting beside a tree. I'm not referring to the newest adaptation.
What I would like to know is which manga chapter does the anime stop, and if some arcs where omitted/skipped due to any reason...
That's the main question yet any additional information, be it character development differences or characters being deleted in the Anime version would be awesome too. Personal views are allways welcomed though I have read several in the comments of the manga.
Thanks,
Chayto

Thanks a bunch!
Started reading a few minutes ago, the art is hideous though, one of the worse I have seen. However, Epic Plot wins vs Art.
Edit: I must correct myself, the art improves over time yet sometimes it's meh.

Be sure you get scanlations done of the tankubon, not jump. He goes through phases where he gets lazy and has scratch sketches in Jump but goes through and redoes it for the tankubon. I don't know if online readers have the hq versions, since I download all mine though. I find the hq versions by viewing all the releases.
Also, try the new 2011 version of the anime, I've never watched the original anime but the new version is good, even for those like me who read the manga first. But I definitely recommend reading the manga as well.
