I'm not surprised that 1/3 of voluntary voters didn't watch the movies but I'm surprised by some who say they never participated in the culture of Pokemon in some way. If you were a child of the 1990s, growing up in the early 2000s, you should know. My cousin who was born in the late 1980s was also one of those people who pawned off his "shiny" cards for money too!

But what I don't understand the most is how some people are so critical of this poll and the franchise. Dude, pokemon is still on-going for over a decade. Even though the trading card game is completely different, and I think they're just milking for profits, the fact that they have been reinventing it over and over again to continue to appeal to the younger audience, I find that amazing since this is pretty much the only thing today that remains from my childhood (everything else was and has been, never again except for Disney). I think it deserves a pretty good amount of respect for the way it's been going and still continuing to go.

If you're only familiar with some of the choices how do you go about picking your "favourite childhood cartoon" among them?

Seriously, if you check my reply, I left some -.... to other people fill it with cartoons from across the world (I can only remember from my childhood cartoons something like Woody the Woodpecker, Droppy, Felix the Cat, and such) since I didn't have a satellite dish at that time (invented in 2004, and my childhood is way long before that). So I simply don't know anything what kind of cartoons in the other countries.

I don't live in USA (more accurately, I don't live in Americas continent) but in my country, those cartoons were aired so I conclude that other country in the world did the same, and don't lie to me! I know it's the fact! I don't know where you live, but if it's true those aren't your childhood cartoons, that's too bad.

"Favourite childhood cartoon" is completely different kind of poll

Never once I call it the same, I simply reply to the one who said that it's everyone's childhood. I just give an example poll that cover and extend the scope of everyone's childhood cartoons. Of course I think it's better or is it you really think forcing more than 30% people to vote never watched and many people (only God knows how much exactly) leaving no choice to vote for first pokemon movie just because they only watched that is better?

Ever since I was adolescent I only watch news (already mentioned here) but I am still learn from videos (such National Geographic, Animal Face-off, Naked Science, or presentation video). So I don't know a thing about anime, movie, and cartoons (except from my childhood) or whatsoever. I just don't have many time, while I can just skimming and scanning when read manga, that doesn't work well in videos.

If any of you want to continue to discuss it to me, please just send me a private message for just the two of us so that I don't have to hold my (rather harsh) words.

Didn't expect there would be a poll about Pokemon Movies laugh (childhood indeed)
I'm having a hard time picking on which should be the most favorite among them all, since there are maybe about five of them I liked most, even though so far I have watched up to its 13th Movie. (Yeah I have plans on watching all of its movies, since there are interesting parts about it) unlike its seasons, which is I am very far behind dead especially its very long on-going series..... Which I somehow ended watching the movies, with some confusion as to the new characters come and go... but doesn't matter roll eyes and never aging ash ketchum laugh (The power of cartoons)
In my opinion the movies are worthy to watch than the series, besides having its own plot it have some sense as to the progress of the story which revolves about Pokemon's history or it being mysterious. smile

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Just my own picked
1. Pokemon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew
2. Pokemon Heroes: Latios and Latias
3. The Power of One (Pokemon: The Movie 2000)
4. Pokemon 4Ever: Celebi - Voice of the First
5. Pokemon: Arceus and the Jewel of Life

(Bwuahaha! at least it could be consider one of my greatest achievement? that is to watch all the movies ;) )
