I have been searching for a manga where the villain/bad guy and the heroine/good girl fall in love but I can't seem to find any! I would prefer a manga based in ancient Japan but anything with this plotline would be great.

Thanks so much in advance!

I'd also like to know this.

If possible please say the group or genre such as

  • shounen/seinen
  • shoujo/josei
  • yaoi/yuri

Just for me since I'm not into yaoi it'll help me pick it out.

I second Superior.
Also I suggest:
http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=275 - Tokyo Crazy Paradise - shojo story with shounenish feel. Not really a seinen story, but close. Main male lead is a high ranked member of Yakuza, main female lead is an innocent, but strong willed, girl.
http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=437b - Gekkoh - Main male lead is a heir of Yakuza group, main female lead is "just connected" to Yakuza world. Male is not exactly a villain, but should fit. Some serious stuff like rape, mudrer and drugs dealing.
http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=348 - Angel Densetsu - because of misunderstanding everyone consider main male lead as a villain (deliquent), while heroine is considered as a good girl.
http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=1598 - Psychometrer Eiji - heroine and a deliquent. Some serious stuff like rape and murder.
http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=8996 - Sun-ken Rock - male is (unwilling) boss of a gang, female is a police girl. Some serious stuff like...
http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=22343 - Nana to Kaoru - a story about a perverted, looser, boy, and a perferct girl. A romance comedy with S-M themes.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Hataraku Maou-sama!. Though the anime way better than the manga. 😀

Seisenki Elna Saga kind of start like this.
Reimei no Arcana
Shugo Chara!
Akuma na Eros if interesed in smut. The auther has a lot more similar works(Haou airen, )
Absolute Witch
Angel at War fit almost perfectly
Mahou Tsukai Kurohime strange but I think it fits
Gensou Suikoden III - Unmei no Keishousha if you think of the main characters as a couple its strike, but the story isn`t romance orientated
Threads of Time
Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen
Watashi no Ookami-san 100% + Dear the main title
Wanted
Vampire Juujikai you need to read the whole thing before understanding why the title fits 😮
Destination Heaven Chronicles
Seimaden shounen ai
Gorgeous Carat shounen ai

Some of the titles are more like enemies become lovers theme but its still similar

By the way... why the hell should Hataraku Maou-sama! be included? So far(i don`t follow the novel) in anime and manga there is no indication for romance between Maou and Hero :/

you must definitely read:

  • princess it focuses on many couples and the story is about royalty and politics therefore it will be very serious and sad. However, you will not find more romance between a villain and a heroine than in princess. King Skadei Tor is the villain, he is cruel, powerful, and has great power but the only one who can have influence on him is lala, a mere commoner. Be careful, skadei is not a good lover and is very mean to her

he even raped her furthermore their story doesn't end well ! lala died during childbirth but it is definitely worth it.

-another one is quite good threads of time is a manga about war and serious stuff like rape and murder. the romance is not very important except at the end. sali tayi is the most villainous character i read. his crimes are dreadful. But he is madly in love with the heroine, atan hadas

he even tried to rape her It's an underrated manga with good themes.

Song of the Long March fits pretty well and is absolutely amazing, story, art and characters are all astounding though it can be a little hard to get into at first

I think I remember requesting something like this ages ago... Lmme see if I can find it.

Off the top of my head:
Seimaden - It's... not exactly yaoi, okay? The guy loves a girl. The girl loved the guy. But the rest is spoilers so I'll leave it at but. There's just a few other side kicks here and there... and a bishie angel who fell into the BL category... Anyways, it's good.
Harukanaru Toki no Naka de

Both are shoujo. The later has an anime, which had really awesome fan made MVs that got deleted rip. I'll update with more manga if I find my thread. xD
