Well its been a while since i was looking for any manga so i thought its about time to add more to my bloated lists bigrazz

what im looking for is romance mangas with a guy who looks like an otaku but in reality isn't (best example would be Miyamura from Horimiya). or they are an otaku who just so happens to have a great personality and might look good if there appearance is changed
yes ive looked through Appearance Different from Personality category, but its hard to find what im looking for

sorry for the bad explanation, but i suck at them

Wants:
School life this is prefered, but not absolutely nessecary (high school - university)
Male Lead - this is preferred but not absolutely necessary
Romance - doesnt need to be fast. can be slow or even sub-plot
Light Comedy - not gag manga, but also not super serious
PLOT!!! - a story of any type is never really good if there is no plot
complete/actively scanlated - no point reading something if you can't finish it

Dont want:
Fluffy - hard to explain, but i dont want it to be all flowers and girly squeals and idiot protagonists that are all "oh they smiled at me... I LOVE YOU!"
Ecchi - some ecchi is fine as long as its not over the top, sick of manga with panty shots and boob shots in every pannel
Gag
Oneshots
- absolutely hate oneshots, especially the ones that leave you wanting more
Dark/Depressing
Psychological/Mind F_ck
Yaoi
Yuri

Josei - i don't mind romance but Josei is a little to much for my tastes
Shounen Ai
Shoujo Ai
Rape
Hentai/Borderline H
- this is okay if its like Kyoushi to Seito to(well most of FUUGA's work
Doujin
Smut
Gender Bender
- this is ok ONLY if its girl dressed as guy
Gore - a little is fine but i don't want it to be like Gantz where its all detailed out, blood spurts and decapitation i can handle, but i don't need to see the details of brain matter splattering the floor

Tonari no Kashiwagi-san is sorta the reverse of this. The male lead is an open otaku and the beautiful female lead is a closet otaku. Very slow romance. It's a similar concept to Horimiya in a way but slower paced and a little less mature.

Baby Steps is a fantastic sports manga about a nerdy kid who decides he wants more exercise and becomes obsessed with tennis. Very realistic for a sports manga. Has a strong romantic subplot that while progresses slowly does actually progress.

In Bonnouji the male lead is somewhat of a nerdy shut in, but has a very relaxed personality lives in a very unique room. A great short little series, one of my personal favorites that I think has a very Horimiya vibe.

Iris Zero is also worth looking at. The male lead is an outcast who tries to deflect all attention from himself. Setting is a little complicated so it's best if you just go read the first few chapters or so.

Horimiya is a 10 in my book, I'd give Bonnouji a 10 as well, Baby Steps a 9.5, Iris Zero an 8.5 and Tonari a 7.5.

thanks, but all of those i'm already reading, but iris zero and baby steps don't really fit, both male leads don't look like otaku's to start with, although they're still great manga
