Hi, so i was reading this manga really really long time ago, so the details are probably a bit sketchy, anyways, i'm pretty sure it had a scene like this, there was a guy imprisoned for some reason (possibly had to do with him having some sort of power) in an underground dungeon that was in some yard or something, the people living in that place were incharge of giving that guy his food and water or something, they also gave im books to read i think, after a while the imprisoned guy was released for some reason (i think it was to fight in a war or to search for something) i cant really remember

pretty sure it was a shounen in a fantasy world setting with magic and swords and monsters with a romance tag on it
also sorry for the description being so bad, i cant even remember if this scene was at the start or partway through the manga :s (i do know it wasnt completely scanlated though)

I doubt it but Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu has (sorta) those elements.

Black Haze sorta begins like that, and I think Trump does too. I honestly am not sure. Those are both manwhas, not manga.
