First of all i do not want to start a shit-storm and this is a thing i knew about but forgot until minutes ago: Adolf Hitler. Who else do we have ? I am a nonwhite german.

Vlad III, Prince of Wallachia aka Vlad the Impaler, aka Vlad Dracula.

But most of his fame arose posthumously.

I doubt there is a manga about him (at least i couldn`t find any), but every fictional work about vampires somehow relates to him

I have really no idea why he is listed as an author... Propaganda ? Mein Kampf definitely has no place in a database focused on mangas (and other works related or inspired by this culture).

And while you don't have to "raise a shit storm" about it, you can definitely ask one of the site's admins for its deletion. This isn't in any way controversial.... mangaupdates is focused on a specific culture, anything completely unrelated has no place in it. Period. You could talk about including Plato or Shakespeare in the authors database and it would be same : no way !

I'm not in any way against including mangas about Hitler or with Hitler as character. But that's not the same at all.

Edit : Sorry I didn't check the works listed at first... Well guess I'm wrong and I can understand why he's there since it's a manga adaptation and he's the original author. Discard my rant above

Yes the i agree ! The manga itself is "meh" but readable. I sampeled it again and read it as it came out. Not even the worst thing i touched today. I do not remember Hitler listed as the author then thou. I will ask an admit don´t worry but not about deleting him.
Just where he came from. That photo . I don´t even think that a direct adaptation of Mein Kampf is a bad idea(Hitler would have put me into an oven as i am afro-russian) as his madness needs to be remembered. I even tried the real version (only partly by him as Rudolf Hess helped) and it will be come legal in the very near future in germany because the copyright that the state Bayern had ran out. We even have comedian who go on tour to read it as part of their program. I also remember someone else real out of place in the database but forgot. The net is vast and infinite as we see today.

Yes train93: He was the one i forgot. I read about the manga on wikipedia or something and then looked it up here. Why do i know this website better then the one at work ?
I also put the wiki introduction on Hitler in his profile so on can at least learn something if his prophile is opened and gave out some new categories for the manga.
He had bloodtype A so we all learned something today.

Just... What in the world...
I didn't know about this guy. It's awful to think a murderer like him is free and someone even got him the chance to write a somewhat... Comical manga (judging by the cover) about his horrifying crime. Why in the world would anyone publish that?

But to be fair, it's not mangaupdates fault his page is here. I don't get why his... Work... Was published, but if it is manga then it belongs to this database.

The name is Karl Marx, not Marx Karl. The names of Eastern authors aren't switched to Western order, nor are the names of Western authors switched to Eastern order, as you should have noticed in the Hitler page.

Or you could check the author of any Harlequin manga.

Agreed just reading the bio on that guy was enough to make me feel like i was going to puke and to think that he is out there still having temptations to eat people.

but this is pretty interesting i didnt even know there was these kind of authors on manga updates, i have never read any of marx's books but i now want to read the manga.

I noticed my mistake with Marx but i still had to send a successful change request to get the Karl part into the main name because i exidently hit enter too fast when i put him up.
So something else i learned today. I knew of most of the non asian authors you listed and the Harlequin manga are something else. Richard Preston can be found and Stephenie Meyer is among us too btw. She even has a full bio with no help a all.
So we found all the monster in the datastream ?
