Is there any way to get the "type" for all one-shots changed to one-shots? A lot of them are classified as manga and show up in searches that specify "excluding one-shots". I love one-shots too, but sometimes I'm searching for something that will take time to read, and one-shots clutter the search results.

But then you can't differentiate between one shots of different countries and one shot novels.

Can you give some examples of this? When I tried, the only oneshots that showed up were those in which the "Status in Country of Origin" field was left blank, such as Aru Asa in this search.

If that's the only cause of the problem, I think it would be better to update the missing information rather than recategorize oneshots as their own type.
