This week's poll is by a different user (his username is "different", get it?). Anyways, it deals with your feelings about ads when visiting websites, in particular when the ad revenue is used to support free and legal online manga.
The "Best of" Polls will start next week. See the previous news post for more details about nominations.
You can submit poll ideas here (and try to keep them manga/anime-related)
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=3903
Previous Poll Results:
Question: If there was a maid cafe near you, would you visit it?
Choices:
Sure, I'd visit a lot! No shame - votes: 2185 (23.6%)
As long as no one else found out... - votes: 702 (7.6%)
I'd give it a try and that's it - votes: 4562 (49.4%)
Never - votes: 1794 (19.4%)
There were 9243 total votes.
The poll ended: September 5th 2015
Wow, I'm surprised that more people chose the visiting lots option instead of the never option. Being called "master" just sounds so weird though...

No, I would not click them (unless I was particularly interested in the product), but I would turn the adblocker off.

The question ion the poll is severely wrong.
What is this nonsense about "non-intrusive ads"?
I don't know that such a thing exists. Ad banners are intrusive enough.
The only reason I ever turn off Ad-Block (or Privacy Badger), is when I suspect that it is preventing some aspect of the page I'm looking at, from working properly (and even then, I will try to pin down the exact thing blocked, that makes it not work, so I can turn it back on, while still having the site work properly).
I realise that free sites need to get money, and that companies need to advertise (well, they don't always really need to), but surely there are better ways (not that anyone is bothering to find them), than to annoy and offend ones customers/users?

Non-intrusive and does not come with malware. That's two big reasons why I always have adblock, ghostery and noscript on.

This. Well, except that I'm never interested in the products online ads sell, so I doubt I'd ever click any at all.

seldom/never. I don't adblock all sites that I use even now but even if I don't adblock, I don't usually click on the ads. It's usually accidental or if something catches my eye but rarely because I clear my cookies all the time.

I think non-intrusive ads meant no pop ups; ads simply existing as though part of the background.
Also if you haven't already, you should clear your cookies often so the ad content won't be so offensive to you?

I will seldom click them. If it's really is legal and if the manga supply depends on me clicking, then I would do it often.

I would only visit a maid cafe if their menu of bad food offered cheap milk shakes and the like on the go but i would never stay. The 50% curiosity result makes sense as we all have seen enough maid nonsense in anime/manga to be interested in seeing how it would translate to RL. I actually worked in a hotel/restaurant for 2 months and that was the worst job i ever had by far so i even quit myself. The food and services industry is hell so stay away folks.
I have to go with no here as i never click on ads on the web even if i turned by adblocker off. Web ad revenue works a bit differently too but google that yourselves.
Apple/Google are actively fighting the way ads on the web work right now so the system may change a bit in the future.
Edit: Wait a minute. How is MU actually staying afloat with the heavy amount of traffic?

I use Add-Blocker by default always. And I will continue to do so normally.
Then if the scenario is that, I've disabled it for any reason. My answer for that time would go along with, " Yes, but very seldom ", and that's only if it's piqued my interest to the highest point.
P.S. Oh! As I recall, the last(and the first obviously) poll about add-block was by the great me. It's good to see people's opinions about mild technical matters concerning THIS community.

I don't block ads (I don't give sites with bad ads my traffic), but I don't click on them either. Clicking ads you aren't interested in can actually hurt the site, particularly if you're using Google AdSense. In the case of AdSense, 'fraudulent clicks' can lead to the permanent suspension of its services for the webmaster--even if they didn't encourage the practice themselves.

That's no doubt what the person who wrote the question, meant, but...
No.
"Non-intrusive ads", means ads that aren't intrusive.

In what way, would that make any difference?
Besides, ad-block works much better.

I always disable adblock/ghostery on my favorite legit sites, so it wouldn't be a problem to do it on a legal online reader but I'm not sure about clicking on ads... Maybe if it was necessary for the survival of the site and if the ads weren't malicious?

I don't ad block but I don't click ads because I don't need the stuff in them ever. If I wanted to support something I'd just donate.

I HATE ads. For goodness sake, someone find a way to charge small amounts to subscribe to a site, or smaller ones each time I visit.
I would, for example, gladly subscribe to Manga-Updates if it asked me to.
