i wasn't totally satisfied with the ending but the way aji tae totally freaked and was really scared made me just laugh at him and that was satisfying...he totally looked like he could have shitted in his pants
even though i didn't really want munse to die i was happy he was with his lover and won sul in the end...
by the way won sul is freakin awesome!!! he really loved munse till the end (even though won sul made some mistakes his soul was always for munse)...i love loyal characters...except for the ones loyal to the bad guys
and sando was kinda annoying...she was kinda....i mean the reason she went with aji tae was cuz he told her munse was dead and when munse is there and alive against her shes all like "FOR AJI TAE" and stuff so that got me pissed at her
but does anyone no who that guy is in the end with the medallion?? i have no clue....

Am I the only one who was disappointed by Aji Tae's death?

The fact that
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Sando
killed him kind of ruins the whole "Only Munsu can kill Aji tae" thing.

Other wise, this is truly a series that is beyond words.
My favorite ever.

The ending had me off my seat the whole time.

I was so happy that Munsu, Kye Wol Hyang, and Won Sul, and all the people who died, were able to meet each other and be happy together. This moment when they all met up really made me emotional.

This ending was so satisfying, Munsu even scared me let alone Aji tae. Munsu and Aji Tae were amazing enemies. I would have loved that Munsu take him out himself, but when sando did it i was so happy that she did. Shows how Munsu put his trust in her to pull through and help him one last time. When Yeong sil Tried to help and died I was really sad. He was one of my favs and he vanished just like that.

Best ending to an even Greater Manga!!

When I first finished it I was angry about it, but now that I've had a while and see it in hindsight it was very satisfying

I feel like the ending was fairly happy, compared to what I was expecting.
I wonder if there could be a sequel... They would probably be Phantom soldiers, and that is the only real reason... I wish there could be a sequel, but it would probably ruin the perfect ending....

Quote from Monstar Maalik
yeah that Sando shit didn't work for me at all either, felt like they did it just to irritate me

Well I also got irritated in the beginning but after looking back at the story and the TRUE nature of Sando I can almost accept her switch to the dark side. I mean if Sando was merely human I would not accept such a plot twist, but look at it this way Sando, a monster that has complete loyalty and trust in her master and suddenly she finds out he is dead, that leaves a mental scar in her so deep that allows Aji Tae to take advantage of, add to that the fact that he used black magic and at the same time and I can start forgiving that plot twist about Sando going to the dark side. The question I do have is: WHY? Sando going to the dark side had almost no bearing on the story other then the fact tha Munsu's life got harder without a bodyguard, what I mean is that Sando, while on Aji tae's side did not affect the outcome of the story much, except choping off the hand of Munsu she did nothing else that affected the story.... yeah she did slice Bang Ja up but he didnt die so... and she destroyed some random ship but thats about it.. Only while on Munsu's side did she truly have a purpose and did things to change the world.

Edit: the black magic Aji Tae used was to try and replace Munsu with himself in Sando's memory, you can see that clearly when she is having a flashback and you see the blury image of Munsu turn into Aji Tae... That just confirms one thing and that is that Sando is and always was loyal to Munsu.

Oh and the scene where the grim reaper's face turn into that of Won sul was so freaking awesome. there is an extra volume for those who dont know its called shing angyo onshi gaiden and the link is http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=23592
