I guess that straight guys can easily watch it, since the jump the sex scenes...

In other hand, mybe they will not enjoy it, they must think girls are cray when we watch it...

But I love it, the first and the second season.

smile wink grin by the way, I really have fun reading the report about the boy forced by the girlfriend to watch it! o/

I'm a straight male, and I do enjoy it. Was a bit hesitant to watch it but with lack of something better to do I decided to watch it. Found the content to be refreshing and the romance to be good. Although its yaoi, the content is good, what really makes this is probably although lack of seriousness in some of the relations. The relationships seem a bit more grown up then your typical high school romance. Also the dialogue is memorable and the background music really helps with some of the scenes.

i watch junjou romantica and its nice... but can any1 tell me if watching underage is wrg? 0.o cuz i am underage and wht worse still in pri sch =.= i felt guilty at sch when i told my fren who also watch junjou.... but my other fren who heard dun understand a single thing we r talking about... oh ya... my fren and me r both girl

I know what you mean. I'm 13 and I feel guilty too. When I read the manga I skipped over the "intense" parts and just read around it. But the anime's not "intense" at all. But I do want to know if it's wrong for me to read it. confused

I used to be 11-12-ish when I first read an NC-18 fanfiction (no children under 18). Not that I know what the rating warning means and I hardly understand what's inside. I accidentally read it just because my favourite author wrote it. Now I'm 18 and I still skip the intense parts on the Anime. lol

I guess if you already understand what it is about then it doesn't really matter anyway. And you can just skip the parts you feel guilty watching them.

As for me, my favorite segment is the Junjou Terrorist... and it hardly gets any love at all.

Mine, too! JUNJOU TERRORIST ALL THE WAY!

I'd love it if it branched off into its own series, like Junjou Mistake...

P.S. I'm a girl. Um. Woman.

I LOVE the Terrorist couple. They're what I look forward to when watching this series. Sadly, people kinda don't like them much/think it's weird and the series has very few chapters about them.

It is sad, since it's far more interesting than the other stories. The part where the professor guy was in love with the woman who died was sad. none Though if it wasn't for that part it might be as superficial as the other two main ones. *still reads it anyways.*

i'm a girl.. and i'm normal okay.. i'm still like a boy of course and never being gay or lesbian..
and i really confused look a couple boy with boy.. how strange?! what makes them like that?!
but i love this manga. why.. because i think the story is really sweet.. more than story boy with girl.. and this manga make me fall in love with one of the character he is Miyagi.. yeah... i really like junjou Terrorist.. My fave chara is Miyagi, my fave couple is MiyagixShinobu. and this manga really make me to feel what happned in the story, make my heart tremble, smiling, crying, laughing when i read this manga.. So fun read this manga.
but that's not real. if it real human gay couple i feel no to see it..
and i think MiyagixShinobu is different maybe because they look so perfect together and they're really sweet and romantic. but they're not real someone can make them being sweet although they're boy!!
but yeah.. i can bit understand with gay couple after seeing this manga. Maybe love make them being couple without love it will never happened. but what thing makes love feeling appear to a boy to love boy?! why not with a girl?! i can still found the answer.. confused

I just turned 13 and I love Junjou Romantica. I don't feel uncomfortable or anything and I read the manga before I watched the anime. And I didn't skip anything . . . To be honest, I think I'm mature enough for it, unlike my friends who gag at the thought of BL. And besides, in todays modern times it's not like I've seen anything I didn't already know about. I love yaoi and shounen ai and I'm not afraid to admit it. By the way I'm a girl. Sorry Terrorist fans, my fav couple is between Egoist and Romantica!

A gal
I prefer the manga than the anime though..
I'm straight all the way
seems ironic if you think about it...sometimes i wonder why read/watch bl but I think it's because of the plots that most genres don't touch on.

I'm a girl and I like to watch the anime because I think the couples are sweet and don't seem stereotypical and superficial (to me). There is also cool music and random moments of humor that makes it all the more enjoyable. I think all the 20 guys (and counting) who watch this are awesome! biggrin

I am a guy and I love this and plenty of other BL, but then I am bi, so it is understandable. But if you were a straight guy, if you loved romance and are of an open mind (i.e. not like Souichi from Koisuru Boukun) then I think you would still get enjoyment out of this.

heh. I'm a guy, a bi guy but that sounds exactly like the previous post right before this one. smile

Truthfully, I use to be be a pretty big fan of yaoi, but over the years, the stories began to look more and more like the previous two I just read. However, Junjou R.E.T. is surprisingly based on a lot of the same story lines, but so very different. We've got the forced scene, the smaller guy, the social rejections and the moans, groans and squishes; on the other hand the humor and the gags place it differently from the other "tender" relationships (being one of the reasons I also am still a fan of Naono Bohra)

One of the reasons I enjoy JR is and not so much Shoujo Romance is because of the way the relationship is treated. There is still the uke and the seme, but from start to end, both and almost all characters retain their male presence, not allowing the reader to replace one guy with longer hair and bigger boobs. biggrin <someone punch me in the face> But because the characters retain their masculine behaviors, mostly, the characters are allowed to "man"handle each other inside and outside of gags, putting me into the relationship. I feel like their relationship is mine and I can stay single sad , which has been 3 years now. Booo to my damn busy life.

Overall, JR, is beautiful to read, fun and funny and still captures that emotion so famous to BL.

As for the people uncomfortable with the sex scenes also found here in JRET, it's so vague and you have to kind of stare to realize what is going on. Some pictures require a third reading for me to realize, "Oh! That's a dick. Wow, never seen one that was that vague before."
