Yeah, it may be redundant but since absurdity is so pervasive in this wonderful world of ours, why not? roll

I'm serious about this question.

So, the question is, do you support heterosexual marriage/civil unions? And, if it's not too much trouble, why? Why do you support heterosexual marriage?

Just for further clarification, by marriage I do mean it in legal terms rather than any religious connotation. (So try not to bring religion into this...). For the people who don't know what civil unions are here's a definition

Civil union: legally recognized union similar to marriage so you get almost all the legal rights that come with a marriage. It is not actually the equivalent of marriage, but it comes close.

Yeah, it's a bit redundant but this is pedantic so even if there's no need for it, it's a means to stimulate thought and discussion. I mean, you're response is proof of how we easily take socially established concepts for granted. It's questioning those concepts that's fun. laugh

So, I'm interested~

Would someone who voted against heterosexual marriage explain why? A reason other than "For the lulz!!" that is. That way we could actually have a discussion on the topic... and I just think it'd be interesting to see what people have to say.

I don't care. If straights want to get married, it doesn't have anything to do with me.

This thread should be locked for sheer lack of substance. It's the same as asking people if sex should be legal.
