I have looked the Marvel Mangaverse recently, and it got it me thinking, what comics would be cool to see get the Anime/Manga treatment? Not just visually, but also story wise. A Spawn seinen? A batgirl Shojuo? What do you guys think? If it's possible don't forget the details.

Seems like a bad idea to me. Kinda like Americans taking classic manga and revamping them to fit the American audience. Too much is lost in translation.

What he said.

Imagine a Japanese mangaka trying to create "Calvin-kun to Hobbes-san".

Besides.... Todd McFarlane tried Manga-Spawn (Shadows of Spawn), which failed miserably, if I'm not mistaken.

Meh, it was just a random idea. Many times comics get redone so often I thought why not go the extra mile.

I don't know about that, I think it can be done, 'specially as I think it's Americans attempting it. Now, why try a manga art style on comics done in a perfectly good American style, hmm that's annoying.

Honestly, I think that's what Marvel basically already wrote a shoujo x-men with Runaways, which is why I really don't see the point of this move. It's teen marvelverse and everyone's got a cameo and it's got as much drama as any shoujo manga. I just do not want 'cause I'm so sick of marvel's attempts to pander to girls, 'cause they all fail horribly and I'm left with practically unreadable comics.

I thought it was Japanese artists taking American comic staples and adapting them.

Anyway, it's still a stupid grab for more popularity. Makes me sick it does. Especially if they were to use the Japanese demographic classifications.

I would read American comics if I could find a good drama minus stupid superheros. That stuff gets really old really fast.

Marvel should just stick to making horrendous amounts of money off their motion picture licenses.

Fail. I don't see how any of those, save maybe Spawn, would fit within those demographics.

God, this is stupid. Who the hell would be the target market, anyway?

The people of Japan who have utter love for American things. Or people who wanted Catwoman with bigger boobs.
