We are recruiting staff for all positions except proofreaders. This includes:

Translators (Japanese -> English)
Editors
Cleaners
Quality Checkers
Typesetters (not as much as the others)

Projects we are working on currently include:

Peace Maker (Joint with Deadbeat-Scans)
Skullman (1970)
Nagasarete Airantou (Joint with AT-Translations) (Kind of frozen because we haven't had any contact with them for a while)
Baccano! 1931 The Grand Punk Railroad (Joint with DATS)
Assassin Story
ADAMAS
Sakura no Ichiban!

Future projects we may work on are:
Rampage
Allison (Joint with FATE)
Kimi ni Yadoru Hoshi

Staff project requests are actually considered over leecher requests, so if there is an unlicensed project (that another group isn't doing) that you would like to see us do, it is more likely that it'll get done if you're a staff member ^^

Umm, I'd love to help out in some way with Skullman. I absolutely love Ishonomori-sensei, and I've read a small bit of the newer Skullman.
I think the only job I could help you with is Quality Checker, as I've no real Photoshop experience etc.

We actually just finished the rest of the volume today, and are just making sure it's as good as it can be... ^^; and we're not planning on doing the longer story.

But if there are any other projects you are interested in, let me know; we could always use a new QCer, and if you do join the staff, there's a better chance that we might do a project you'd like to do. ^^

Sorry for the bump, but just some updates and details:

Skullman is now a finished project, and we are NOT doing the extended series because it's licensed.

Translators needed for all projects except Baccano! and Assassin Story
Proofreaders are not needed.
Cleaners are needed for all projects except for Baccano and Peace Maker.
Typesetters are needed for all projects.
Quality Checkers needed for all projects except for Baccano.

Translators, if you would like to see raws, contact us.

Hmm alright, i think i just might be wiling to jump abord here. But i must know, what is the real differnce between a Quality Checkers and a proofreader? For the most part they only seem abit differnt to me. Well i would be applying for the role of a Quality Checkers, as i have read a good amount of manga, mainly licensed manga, and am rather used to how things should feel, flow, and look, pretty much, so i might be good for the job :/ . my only problem is that im not a very god speller tough >_> lol. And i have abit of experience as a proofreader (and abit of a quality checker aswell i would think) for Valkyrie Profile 2 Silmeria and Valkyrie Profile Enix Supercomic Gekijoh (only the first chap of VP2).

For most groups, a proofreader will only look at the script (and sometimes with a raw). They can only correct the English since the chapter hasn't been typset yet (which means there is no English text on the page). Quality checkers will look at what is basically the finished product and point out any mistakes, such as things that the proofreaders missed (hopefully your proofreader is any good) or even editing mistakes like typesetting or leveling.

Hmm, intresting, for the Valkyrie Profile mangas, that group would send me the chapter already typsetted and such, and then i would go and read it and point out any mastakes and also bring of any segestions on how to make some parts more fluent and so on. So i guess i was a typestter and quality checker in one there. Alright then, I'm willing to take on the job here, give it a shot and see how it goes and whatnot. Just a matter if you want me on the team or not.

Hmm im intrested in Peace Maker, Assassin Story, and ADAMAS, and when you start up new projects you can always go and see if im intrested on working on them and what not. Also I'm good friends with someone online who is a huge Gundam fan and is well knowledged in long running series, so if you do take on Gundam 0083, i can if he would be intrested in being a proofreader or quality checker for you and such, as im pretty sure he would be willing to work on it :/ .

Hello, Lezard, I'll PM you a test and see how you do as a Quality Checker. There's more than just proofreading, you should be able to watch for any cleaning or typesetting mistakes or make suggestions as to what would make the release look better.
