spoiler alert!

i would like to express myself as a fan to ichigo 100% that the manga was great. But it didn't turn out the way i want it to be....i didn't expect nishino to be the one for manaka in fact i prefered toujou because she is the first love and i feel that she enjoy more time with manaka than nishino. anyway, i was hoping that chapter 167 wasn't the ending and i really hoped that it will continue more until manaka gets with toujou. but it was a great storyline despite the ending gave me a little disappointment......
however, thx a lot to the manga creators and fans.

It ended the way it should have, even if it surprised me. Toujou and Manaka did almost nothing with their relationship while Nishino scratched and crawled her way to the top. I really loved the manga for making me change my mind on who my favorite is. Aya was quickly taken over by Satsuki, and Nishino climbed the steep hill that was my love for Satsuki to remain at top.

Ah, the ending...

I liked it that way it was. At least it finally ended...

Nice little "life" journey, eh? I also loved all the omake at the end of v19.

I wouldn't have minded another chapter or two with Nishino and Manaka getting their life back together.

actually i originally am happy also that nishino and manaka gets together....indeed it is true that she did not even give up and gave all she can to get manaka while on the other hand indeed toujou just kept her feelings and dint confess while manaka and nishino had confess with each other long time ago.....it also gave me the consciousness that nishino and manaka should get along eventually. anyway, thx so much for ur comments and i will always support ichigo 100%. thx to the director and editor.

I thought Ichigo 100% wasnt that good althought I liked all female characters. The gheyness of the main male character and his wishy washy-ness. He really takes it to a new lvl. It really would've been best if he just died alone imo. xD

You were expecting more from a Shounen Romance? >_>

SPOILER ALERT

Nicely put, before finishing the manga series Ichigo 100% was oen of my favorite mangas (that's like put into my top 5 catergory) and it still is (ni it's own way) but I love Kawashita Mizuki for her other works as well (Especially the one shot ones)

Though I hate to admit it, the ending did indeed make me tear a little, I disliked the fact that Manaka was always having a hard time choosing, but I felt most sorry for Toujou and the things she had to go through during her time of 'fame'. The character whom I also loathed the most was the one guy introduced later in the series (what was his name again? started with an 'A' like Akamichi or something). I totallyed despised his forceful attitude and obsession over Toujou. (especially the part where he was about to steal a kiss from her) The ending was quite all right, because finally the indecisive Manaka finally got his mind straight and grew some muscles.

Indeed I do feel sorry for Satsuki, but I don't like how near the end she started going along the lines of being a 'supportive' character. Anywho I still believe that if Aya and Manaka went more along the 'offensive' lines, then they would've ended up together instead.

Which comes to conclusion why I'm so friggin anticipated over the endlessly discussed 'Alternate ending' I've been hearing about.

Kawashita is still in the top five list of my favorite Mangakas, even though some of her endings suck while others are great.

Aya and Manaka just didn't work. You can say Manaka's relationships with women were extremely slow but the Aya and Manaka relationship could have gone on way past college if Nishino wasn't there.

Anyway, there is no alternate ending. I can bet on it. There was a one-shot dealing with Misuzu and someone very Manaka-like, though.

Yeah. Just, because it's clichéd to death doesnt mean I have to use that as a standard. embarrassed Atleast make it short not freaking 19vol. It just became a drag. If it's 19 volumes make it funny and not add more female characters to point out how ghey Manaka is. Yes there is more fanservice I geuss, but you have Hentai manga's if you want that. embarrassed

Ok, I read this awhile ago, so my mind may be a bit fuzzy when it comes to information in regards to it. If I get something wrong during this rant, I apologize.

That being said, I hate the ending of Ichigo 100%.

At the end of it all, Manaka is in the same position he was before. He pursues his releationship with Nishino, but the other girls will, mostly, still pursue him.

How the hell is that different from the previous volumes in which he was going out with Nishino and the girls where pursuing him?

The answer? Its not. I hate the ending because its not solid and still leaves it open to interpretation and speculation.

It started with Manaka unknowingly having a crush on Aya (The girl with the ichigo panties), it should have ended with them getting together, in my opinion. Thats the proper storybook ending, and while its true that type of ending would be seen coming from a mile away, it would give alot of closure to the manga, as she pretty much has a crush on him for the ENTIRE run of the manga.

The whole premis was Manaka liking a girl not knowing who she was, even though the reader did. The ending, while shocking, is crap. Thats my opinion, though.

Throughout the manga, you really want Aya to succed.

Up until the ending of the manga, I enjoyed it quite a bit. However, the ending is one of the reasons I truely lost joy in reading this.

Thats my experience with it though. Reading it, everyone picks one of the girls they like (I did the same thing with Tenchi Muyo. RYOKO FOREVER!), and I guess I just really liked Aya and wanted her to succeed. Nishino was the girl everyone liked, she was popular, the complete opposite of Aya. The type of person I really hate to succeed.

I rooted for Aya for all of 1 volume. Though I really thought it would end with a Aya/Manaka ending, I'm so glad they didn't.

Also, the other girls ARE NOT pursueing anymore. They (Satsuki and Aya) might still think of him as a great guy but they've all but given him up to Nishino.

Ku Ku Ku *Kururu Laugh*

you never know....

xDDD

Anyways, I totally agree with Kaioh, Aya was my pure favorite, and what kinda sucked was that they didn't really get into the characters all THAT much.

Even so, reading Ichigo 100% was like an enjoyable train ride, but the feeling it gave me after reading it was like getting off at a stop before the last one.

"The ride was great while it lasted." was the kinda impact I had, and for a week after finishing it I had this instant hate for the series, though that pain healed with time and err ignorance lol :3 I still <3 Aya though.
