Okay, recently, i have been busy with stuff so i decided to not keep tabs on most of the members of the group but lo and behold many of them are gone or caught up with real life. Now i have to find some new members who can work throughout the year on various projects of ours. The projects that would need people are Stone Ocean, Oton, Vagabond, and Over Time. Now, there are varying needs based on the manga.

Over Time is one that just needs a typesetter because i am not about to waste man power on doing something that will be fixed when the tankos come out.

Vagabond is probably taken care of considering the fact that there are still dedicated members of the team that lurk around here that will be called to duty when volume 24 is scanned and when chapter 216 is released. However, any help is welcome

Stone Ocean doesnt really need much, if everything works out, but another editor wouldnt hurt because i am basically doing that solo with the help of someone with the redrawing and joining of Pages

Oton is another one that doesnt need much. The scans are already edited, all that is needed is the typeset for part 2-4 and translations, which are on the way, for parts 3 and 4.

In addition to all this, i am looking for another irc bot for same day releases seeing as the main bot is really an archive bot and i am probably going to be shifting the releases to irc for a period of time in order to promote traffic to the channel because it is basically dead due to the fact that i just post direct download links right away. I mean, it isnt that important to me to have traffic in the channel but i rather not have it be a ghost town 99% of the time.

Lastly, I am desperately looking for the next series for us to do. When it comes down to it, we might just stick to what we have and see what happens with the fate of Over Time in the future and then pick up one of the newer jump series (because unfortunately, it is really hard to get translators for series outside of jump) whenever it is put into jump but i would much rather not do it in favor of doing something really cool. I mean i really really really wanted to do Souten no Ken but i dont want to step on anyone's shoes and i know that it is on the way from the guys that do it. If you guys have any ideas for series that are like Hokuto no Ken, Mad Bull 34 or Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (at its manliest) please dont hesitate to tell me because i do have access to a japanese bookstore and can scan and edit the manga myself and start the search for a translator at a later date.

What exactly are you looking for in the way of an editor, and what sort of skills are required for the job?

Okay, i guess i should say what i expect from my editors outside of editing then go into the skills. I expect editors just to do what they agree to do in a prompt fashion. So if i ask you to edit something from this manga, i would rather you not do it at all rather than having me pester you about it because you dont tell me anything. Also, some regular communication is good. Other than that, if you dont run away then we are cool. As for skills, it really varies from manga to manga. I'll break it down by manga:
Over Time - not much is really expected. You basically need to know how to desaturate, level and typeset. If you can redraw well, then it is a plus but any intense editing will come later when i get my hands on the tankouban and i actually want to make the manga look good.

Vagabond - this one i really just threw out there but you will be expected to do redrawing, basically, if you are an editor because there are three typesetters for this series and we only have to do chapter releases at this point until a scan of volume 24 surfaces.

Oton - just typesetting ability is needed

Stone Ocean - this is probably the one that will be most intense for the editors (compared to the others that is because this isn't that hard...most of the time). You will have to know how to redraw well and how to join well because there are places where araki goes crazy with the double pages and sometimes (like the title pages) where he overlays a ton of text over an image. If you have time for typesetting then great but i dont really need it.

For all these series (with the exception of over time because i really need a typesetter), you will have a few pages here and there so i expect rather speedy but good work.
