If you like it that much, why not support the mangaka and buy the manga?

do u guys think only americans read manga?
my country for example doesn't have any manga places and i can only get it online so either it's licensed or not (in the usa) they should go on scanlating for the sake of others like me

But friedo.obrain, the problem is, a lot of scanlation groups are based in the US or have people living in the US

There's this thing called shipping overseas and a lot of sites do that if you really like your manga.

Hostile you seem to forget that in most countries that do not sell manga at all, people don't have the same purchasing power than in the US or in Europe... So they can't really afford the costs of shipping and buying it from the US in dollars... I was in one of those situations, so I do understand the pain...

whew, i thought this topic was going to be about the group dropping it just because they're bored with it or something, but it's only licensed.
yeh, buy it if you want, or wait for someone to just put up the english scans later...there are a lot of those out there if you don't want to buy it, but you'll still have to wait for the english version to catch up first.

If you can't afford a car... do you go out and steal one?
I know how the OP feels though. When Utawarerumono (anime) was licenced, I was wondering if any groups were going to keep subbing it. If the series is popular enough, there will surely be some group out there willing to translate it.
Also, the USA isn't the only country to release English translated manga. I have several volumes of manga published by Chuang Yi (yes, in English), in my opinion, their covers are also much nicer than their US counterpart (plus, they release Fruits Basket much faster than Tokyopop). I also have 10 volumes of Doraemon in English/Thai, published by Nation Edutainment, another title they have in English is Dragonball. And I think Japan also occaisionally releases English/Japanese manga.

Well some people really can't buy imported manga. I myself need to buy from the local B&N because of the fact that I don't want to pay rediculous fees for shipping and handling and whatnot. Anyway there's really something called patience. So Koukou is dropped, whoop-de-doo. If you really care so much scan it yourself, or take Japanese. If you go for the former, way to go you did something about it. If you go for the latter, it's honestly easier to just wait for the English tranlation to come out in the United States than to master such a difficult language.
Besides the first volume of Koukou is already out in the United States. It's scanned by Viz in their ShojoBeat manga and it came out last month.
