Writers and mangka get a percentage of the gross sales of the books. It doesn't matter which you buy. They get a percentage of NA releases and Japanese releases. Often times they get an advance flat payment as well. There are industry standards for the percentages given. ...

I always did read books and comics. My teenage sons introduced me to manga. I like the diversity of subject matter. As a professional artist and writer myself, manga also appeals to me because it combines my two favorite things: art and writing.

Learning kanji is just a matter of memorizing them. I just learned the most commonly used ones that are normally taught in schools. Others, I just look up when I need to. Even Japanese people don't have all of them memorized. It's no different than an English speaker havi...

I learned that the phrase "let the cat out of the bag" (usually it's used to mean that information leaked out) actually goes back a time when it meant that the cat 'o nine tails was being removed from it's bag. It meant someone was going to get flogged....

Neither bothers me. Personally I prefer younger men. Most men my age can't keep up with me or are intimidated by my interests and what I do for a living. (At least that's the case where i'm currently living.........)

Yeah, when it's not with me, it's locked in my office. And anyone wanting to use it would have to know my password. That and the files aren't obvious. My son's have their own laptops, so they never need to use mine. Who knows what I'd find on theirs...............

I don't hide it. No one uses my personal laptop other than me anyway. Now if I croak someone is going to get an eyeful, but at that point it's not my problem. Print stuff I have is in a locked file cabinet in my office. I have the only key.
