Worst love interests
(1 posts, 348 views) Posted: 3 months ago by Sugarshark in Manga General
most of the toxicity you see in manga is so over the top you couldn't reasonably consider that person a partner; it would be a police matter the first time it happened.
it's possible that a prospective partner can be compromised and not act appropriately
or lack understandi...

When it comes to sexual things what do you think counts as fanservice for women?
(3 posts, 775 views) Posted: 6 months ago by Sugarshark in Shoujo/Josei
there's probably a lot of contrived scenes with activity/preoccupation that cause unusual angles or cropped frames that remove male eye contact from readers.
(with the intent to mimic real life voyeurism.)
Once there is no requirement to hide your gawking, you get a green l...
New Poll - First Comic

Euro or American
my parents gave me a number of classic Euro stories; Asterix, Tintin, Le petit prince
my dad also had an impressive Marvel silver & bronze collection although I didn't do much reading of those for a 'first read'

New Poll - Worst Protagonist Traits
(15 posts, 1355 views) Posted: 7 months ago by Sugarshark in News
maybe genki

I don't think it should count as a trait; of course there's a chance I don't even have the correct semantics
because I find a character with spectrum stuff/anxieties very enjoyable

having a debilitating illness is like a Nicholas Sparks script
oh no my TB truck ku...
New Poll - Protagonist Age
(9 posts, 975 views) Posted: 7 months ago by Sugarshark in News
I find young(sometimes very young) protagonists to be heartbreaking.
anyone under 16 shouldn't have to be sifting through the garbage heap of life
poor circumstances can ruin any entertainment I get from the storytelling
I think 21-30 is a great age for exploration and conqu...

they had 100's of subs of current 'on tv' series'
