I don't think it should count as a trait; of course there's a chance I don't even have the correct semantics
because I find a character with spectrum stuff/anxieties very enjoyable
having a debilitating illness is like a Nicholas Sparks script

spending an extra 5-10yrs in a safe environment doesn't really embolden people to go take risks(carpe diem)
the longer you enjoy safety the less likely you are to take action that could deprive you of it.
