I think genre search could be useful here smile I don't know if you tried it...

I've already used it million times as well as some other ways to find a nice adventure manga.

so, I'm looking for an adventure manga which is COMPLETELY scanlated.
I already know lots of titles worth reading but almost all of them are ongoings.

and it should be
- not shoujo (though romance is ok),
- without any schools (cause in mangas all schools are japanese s...
Manga that takes place not in Japan?
(23 posts, 5480 views) Posted: over 13 years ago by Iahel in I'm Looking For...
dozens of fantasy and sci-fi mangas are sent in so strange realities, they cannot be descrided as Japan. though as I can see, you want some real countries.
a half of Nodame Cantabile is set in Europe.
Gunslinger Girl also Europe, mostly Italy.
Ore to Akuma no Blues US.

Are u a fast manga reader??

it was while reading Monster when I first noticed, that some manga are really ought to be read. it takes much more time to finish a volume of Monster or any other word-packed seinen stuff, comparing to any shounen. most of them are only pictures with short references, whi...

Plus the characters weren't always that consistent.

they were utterly unrealistic. especially the main heroine.

and a one more recent drop шы Nononono.
I expected to read a manga about ski jumping, but got an Elfen Lied 2.0. the last straw was a page posted on futaba...

I think it was 1/2 Prince. too shoujo for me. first few volumes was much more game oriented, and as ex-MMO-fag I was trying to figure out game mechanics. but then it just gets too predictable. one girl, two guys... gimme a break none

Successor to Bleach/Naruto/One Piece
(179 posts, 42298 views) Posted: over 14 years ago by Iahel in Shounen/Seinen
it would be definitely nostalgic to live without NaruBleaPiece chapters every week... Naruto and Bleach are not so good any more, but seeing chapters coming out for few years already it's like a sign that there's at least something unchangeable in this world.

but personall...

recently I prefer my manga completed, cause I already have lots of ongoings to read and sometimes can't keep up with releases cause of IRL stuff, but I think I'll end up reading few ongoings from my wish list...

btw I have a one more way, but it's difficult to describe it... let's see, there is a certain amounts of manga that po...
I can't be a manga-ka!
(29 posts, 5775 views) Posted: over 14 years ago by Iahel in Manga General
manga is just a tool to express your great (or not so great) ideas. it doesn't mean that if you suddenly try to draw comic you'll suck. just feel the difference.
you can draw a descent story that will attract even Japanese and make them translate your creation to Japanese....

I can't really recall a good one that I've read.
The problem is, the guy always seems that he can't appreciate the great situation he's in, and the girls really have no reason to want to be with such a clueless guy... it just seems so unrealistic and frustrating.

Brains, Not Brawn!

Mustang from Full Metal Alchemist
Ida from Jiraishin

I think those guys are more brains + brawn type, cause they rely not only on brains but also on brawns (guns).
and we should consider the fact that some manga's characters are all brain-users (sounds epic xD).
