The thing is, scanlators do what they do because they're passionate about manga and about sharing more titles from the genres they love with other manga fans who are into the same kind of stuff.

Thank you for the help, lambchopsil. I was finally able to search, but it was still a pain compared to the old (and now current) way of searching. I'm so glad it's been switched back!

I have no idea how to search for a mangaka now... Everything that comes up are just titles. Seems you can't search for anything else anymore, which is very annoying. I hope they fix it (or at least provide an "Advanced Search" option) soon.

I'm pretty sure it was Chobits... which isn't a bad manga to start off with, although the next few I read after that definitely paled in comparison.

Wait, Chobits isn't technically a shoujo, is it? I always get that one confused...

Maybe Hot Gimmick, then... if Chobits does...

I said "Sometimes"... because if it's done well and makes sense in the plot, then it can be nice. However, smut done just for smut's sake is usually pretty lame.
