ORV is freakishly complex and intriguing and definitely one of a kind. It gets a bit confusing at times, but the characters really pull you along. Kim Dokja is an amazing protagonist in so many senses.

I read the English translation, which got significantly better around ch. 300-something when the translator changed.

Looking forward to seeing in all transformed into the web toon, but it'll probably be decades before that happens fully lol.

It's been so long since I've fully immersed myself into a story, and this was it! The story is stunning to what I initially thought it would be - a simple story where a normal dude reads a book, finds out that the book becomes reality, and uses this information to survive. And while that is somewhat true, there is so much more -- mystery that keeps you on the edge of your seat, beautifully written characters, and a very, very complicated and interesting story.

One of my favourite parts of the story was the variety of characters and the camaraderie. It's definitely more of a slow-burn (friendship wise), but that made it all the better. I loved seeing that the main character wasn't necessarily OP either. He has brains and could fight, but there were several other characters who shined as well (even more so in certain cases). The chemistry between some of the characters (the main three stood out most for me), was the best. Unquestionably, tons of characters to root for - with little dichotomies, should I add, something pretty apparent in web novels and manhwas that I utterly despise. The character developments are amazing, and this change was very noticeable at the end. And despite a few characters not having enough screentime, I laughed and cried with each of them.

More than anything, the story is built on such a unique premise: Reading, gods, constellations, stories, characters, and everything in between. I've personally never seen something like this before. I don't want to spoil anything, but it's so intricate and thoughtful, with so many "hints" hidden every so and then. I cried a few times, and it definitely had me thinking after finishing it.

That being said, there are flaws to it - the story becomes quite tedious to read towards the end, rushing a cycle of self-sacrificing and big fights over and over again (story is still interesting, just tired). There are certain parts that I think could've been cut and more every day/relaxing scenes added in. Some characters just deserved more screen-time as well (some downright disappeared for hundreds of chaps), but that was bound to happen with so many characters and timelines. It is worth it though, and the epilogue wraps up the story satisfyingly.

In any case, this is definitely one of my most pleasant reads so far! I mean, who reads 500 chapters for nothing? Recommended, you won't regret reading it!

Started of reading the manga cause I was bored and needed a self-insert junk food story to consume and then went to reading the webnovel once I was caught up with the manwha , never will regret the decision for continuing reading it to the end instead of reading it till I was bored and dropping it once the mc steamrolls everybody with his knowledge. Enough blogging.

This series is genuinely good and I think the author only added rpg game mechanics to draw people in, because once you look past that the story becomes really good. As it goes further on it explores how much that novel meant to the MC and how he got through his life before the apocalypse because of it, how the MC came to a realization that just the the novel he red and finish didn't scratch the surface of how the protagonist lived his life and saw how much little he knew about the protagonist than he initially thought from reading the novel that the protagonist was in because a book can't describe the events of someone's whole life, and shows how
Yoo Joonghyuk is a person and has his own feelings and thoughts just like everybody else and is not just a character in a novel

The action in this doesn't get stale at all and whenever a new enemy appears they don't give you the feeling of they are just created to be stronger than the last ones, mc doesn't powercreep so fast thx to his knowledge that he leaves everybody in the dust and solos everything in his way, has amazing story arcs that could each be their own series(especially the greek ones, and except the Japanese hating ones), amazing mystery and plot twists that make sense that made it feel like the author planned the story from start to end, and a very satisfying conclusion in their final adventure..

The author is a genius for thinking up constellations. They feel like the reader's self-insert to the story much like twitch chat interacting with the streamer.

I feel like this story really likes the proverb "One man's trash is another man's treasure". There's a scene where it shows a character liking a generic "sss-rank sword saint god" story and how the others dislike it and make fun of him for reading it because it's another overdone story done and told over and over again. It then shows his reason for liking it is that he loved the struggles and hardships of the protagonist in it that he didn't care about the story being done many times before and he sees worth in what others find worthless.

Stories and Fables and how every story no matter how bad it is has its own worth to someone out there reading and enjoying is the main theme of this webnovel. There's so much more I want to say but it's better reading the webnovel than a random comment about it. It's an amazing experience from start to end when you see all the things being explained near the end answering all your questions from the start.

Of course nothing is without flaws and there are bad things in it like- only a handful of characters being interesting and standing out on their own besides being the MC's companions(most of the interesting parts of the story are the main character ,the plagiarist , and the protagonists interactions), the main character having a self-sacrificing addiction, how many times the MC and the Protagonist of the novel duking it out because of their conflicting ideologies, how Yoo Joonghyuk the protagonist feels like a plot device sometimes, the Japanese hate(seriously a lot of korean webcomics/novels have an arc where the japanese are the bad guys), and most of the start being just another survival story with rpg mechanics.
And despite all the flaws I still enjoyed the whole novel enough to give it a 10/10

another one to add. One of my favorite moment is how the one of the characters pointed out how rereading a story will give you a totally new and different experience than when you first red the story.

The story is entertaining and merges multiple isekai subgenres. You have characters who plop into the worlds of their favorite books, mangas and other medias. Other characters who are regressors (i.e. go back in time upon death) and even one who reincarnates in these worlds.

I want to emphasize these are worlds. In my opinion, this really insane. Usually when you read an isekai, the main character enters one new world and explores it by fighting or intellectual planning. And then you get bored or your suspended disbelief ends before the story finishes. This is mostly because the author does a horrible job explaining the world, too many plot-holes, or the character is too OP.

You can realize these problems, the longer you invest time in to that world. However, since this story is always jumping scenarios and possibilities, you will be happy the whole way through.

I have to give it to the author for creating an interesting setting. Its a world with a mix of multiple character genre, regressor, reincarnator, isekai/returnees and the likes. You'll see lots of mythology and historical characters and locations thrown in from Asgard, Olympus to Vedas, Eden, Sengoku War, Romance of the 3 Kingdoms, Journey to the West and many more. They all appear as worlds in different scenarios in a game like setting. Theres also strong Inter-dimensional Spacetime Paradox and Ouroboros themes about in the plot.

Characters(antagonist, side characters etc) in the novel are well developed and author further expanded on the interactions and relationships between the characters which is the other strength for this novel.

I somewhat enjoyed the various events/scenarios that took place but their outcomes start to be repetitive and boring later on. The battles and combat ain't that bad but interesting nonetheless.

The direction of the plot and the protagonist are the weaker and most disappointing aspects of this novel. This novel is an all in and out shounen novel. The webnovel that out MC gets pulled into is the better story in my honest opinion. It is tough, unfair and realistic world where you both win and lose, sacrifices have to be made, relationships tested which all trigger a myriad of emotions in readers.

Think about it.

Why does MC love the webnovel? Its because of all these story elements. Unfortunately our MC tries to change the webnovel into a happy story. There are no fairytales in reality. Our MC is changing the story into the cliche rubbish that he himself hate the most!!! Ironic.

Sacrifices are pointless when they can be resurrected. Obstacles, dilemma and difficult life choices are pointless when theres always a 3rd option. Again MC turned the story from an engaging one into a cliche shounen plot. Disregarding the overpowered abilities of the MC and the lack of the butterfly effect(like most novels of this genre, just admit it the only butterfly effect is events shuffling across the timeline), the very fact that the story always has a 3rd option is the downfall of the novel. The 3rd option(famous in shounen) sounds like the hard, impossible route but contrary to that, it is actually the easy way out where everyone profits, everyone survives, no one suffers, no obstacles, minimal effort, no learning and maturing. Like i mentioned before, this gets repetitive and annoying later on.

Excellent setting and characters but bad plot direction and protagonist.

In book form, physically. and I love everything about it. What a wonderful journey this was.

I liked the general theme and how it COPIED many elements of different novels and combined them well by giving complex relations between the characters . I do take away most of it's credit since the author basically didn't want to rush an ending for his first novel so he waited till other similar novels finished and then did this novel to stitch up a conclusion.

I really did find funny of how he shamelessly introduced the arguments in favour of plagiarism,the character she introduces for this is very funny.But all in all it's great since the tries too transmit lots of strong emotions and includes and makes references to many plot devices commonly used in most fantasy novels without them losing the impact .

It's the only Korean WN I've read and not dropped ,(they (this novel included) usually have very unrelatable cliché elements) The novel has a big main cast and when we see a character's POV he is treated as a "main character" . I really liked how when in the sptlight all the characters which are doing the action actually 'think' for themselves instead of just taking the MC's lead. All in all the characters think way too much on the mc rather than their own survival.

I didn't like how the star stream was so obvious to all the participants and how it was modelled after streamers / social media celebrities (I have quite a poor opinion on what it's modelled after) ,it really doesn't fit how all the constellations are ok with that and it keeps the tension too low in crucial moments.
