I find children in BLmanga adorable! Hana-chan in Tonari no Kare is adorable. I like Yoshihiko's looks with the mustache. 😀 Matsuda is my type of uke. I like them to be cute (in personality is the most important, looks secondary) and kind, observational, and some other things thrown in the mix! I also loved Matsuda's stubborness, haha. That's always fun! One interesting thing about this couple is that Matsuda isn't Yoshihiko's normal type. Usually it's the opposite and the seme likes the uke's looks from the start!

The end was hilarious! XD I see a good future for them.

I love slow-paced stories, as long as it offers great advantage to both characters to develop. But this manga didn't really developed both characters. It's like it's slow paced without reason and purpose at all. It doesn't even have a resolution.

I've read a manga by Sensei and I loved it. But as I browsed through her other mangas, maybe Sensei plot and set-up may not be my cup of tea (except for the first manga I read by Sensei)

I do like what I've just read, and as this is the third work from the author that I've finished so far I'm starting to get the overall picture of her style in general. Although there could've been some more finesse added to the whole manga I can positively say this is quite a decent story with suitable art and soothing pace. Not necessarily the greatest thing ever but what does it matter for one to enjoy a good story right.

Great

It has a great story but has a very distinct art style (one of those sketchy types). I don't like stories that has to do with their "dead past love" because it's very common and it just irritates the hell out of me when they can't get over them.

Let me borrow a line of dialogue from Jie Xiu to Xiao Ru in Drunken to Love You: “Someone who wallows in the past can never reach the future. How do you know you can’t get over it if you’ve never tried?”

The story is slow-paced but filled with emotions. And the sketchy art actually fit the flow of the story fairly well. But the end is rather unsatisfying. The poor kid has his first love with an old guy. I feel sorry for the uke being made into what looks to me like a sex friend.

Unresolved

It was very pleasant for me. It started off very sweet, even funny. But later on you find out about the character's "past love". I hate it when they revolve the story around someone's "past love". In cases like that, the love between the main characters turn out to be less believable. Actually, from the seme's part, it wasn't even believable at all. Not my cup of tea. :/ Too bad cause I really liked this mangaka.

Slow paced but lovely

As the title says, this is a slow paced manga so if you're more of a fast-paced type you probably won't like this. However, for those of us who don't mind slowing down now and again i really recommend it. First of all, although its slow paced, its not boring. The way the relationship between the characters develops is interesting and makes you wonder 'what next?'. Also, add in a young child and you've got more to keep your interest in check. I found this manga to be quite lovely, the romance side of it is also very realistic in that its not just a matter of fall in love and thats the end. So, if you like realism, drama, romance and a nice gentle pace this is an ideal manga. I loved it.

Worth reading.

I would say my biggest problem with this is it didn't feel like it properly resolve itself. It had a decent ending and technically all the loose ends were tied up and it was a "happy" conclusion, but it wasn't truly satisfying, at least not for me. I think one more chapter, or even an omake would have solidified this for me.
The art is unique but not bad; kind of that rough style that grows on you.
Overall, actually rather cute and enjoyable, even if it leaves you with a tad of unsatifaction.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
I don"t get it sure it's a sweet story but the uke is sort of just a really nosy neighbor and seems really desperate the seme is kind of like whatever who i really love is no longer alive so you'll do that seems to be his attitude but there's the other guy the uke seems bothered when he see's them kissing and in the end throws himself at him not caring if he loves him are not i guess this manga is ok but it doesn't really express how the characters feel toward each other enough so you kind of have assume it's mutual love

I was reluctant. Because the art seemed to be quite poor, but the story was really pleasent. At least their bodies look fine.

I enjoyed Matsuda's reactions to his feelings, they were really cute, and better than all those "but we're both men" that most yaoi stories have.
This story is more shounen-ai, and it's very sweet.
About a guy with a sad past and what appears to be a shaky present, and a student with no experience whatsoever...
I didn't think I'll enjoy this story, but its simple mood, and good pace made it a good read.

If you really loved someone, it will be hard to let go and just forget.. It doesn't matter whether this person is no longer alive.
But we all have to move on. He chose to do the same, even though it can't happen right away.
