A sweet,short story about teenage romance! Very cute! 8 out of 10,even though it wasn't outstanding,but it was definetly one of the better shoujo manga's out there!

Ken was such a jerk, he actually let his annoying new girl friend order him around he was fine with hurting the girl he really liked. why was he going out with her if he likes Kiku? they only get together at the end.
if you havent noticed this there was a year gap in the interaction of the leads. the running away happened after a year. i also like the female leads reaction that she cant be perfect all the time, that she cant be all martyr, yeah we're all human. and she also know how to say no. i just like her. i guess i just have a thing for hard working leads 
i also like the art its kindda cute.. and they make me feel butterflies in my stomach *sigh*
as for the side story it would have been better if it had remained as an unrequited love. so bitter sweet and painful, cause not all love stories have happy endings right? i cried because i can really relate but when the guy confessed i was like WTF? there was no hinting in the story whatsoever.. it just happened so thank god this isnt the main story!

I felt it needed to have a better ending, I like it but there's no resolution. Could had been longer, the premise was nice, but the plot felt like it was missing something. Extra points for realism. At least realism-shoju level.

To all honesty, this manga made me cry. I do not easily shed tears for fluffy, fictional stuffs but the realism in this story moved me so much that I appreciated it very well. The characters, the setting and the conflicts in this manga were all approaching reality. The interaction between the two main leads was very satisfying, defying the odds of the typical shoujo drama.
Short, typical happy-shoujo story about school-age romance.
For a short story this had good character development. I really liked the heroine had a good head on her shoulders. She had her moments of weakness but she also stood up for herself too. Overall it was a nice departure from most shoujo romance.
I could have done without reading the Only You side story (for the reasons thismomentisfate stated in the comment above) I give that a 1.
