It's good, but seriously not the best I've read. The art is cool, and the protagonist turns from an uninspired weakling to an inspired leader due to others affecting him. Should appeal to most.

But the story lacks something, imo... It's just meeting more and more monsters each turn, and no real character developement, it's mostly rather predictable.

It does have some interesting turns though, and I'd recommend it to most.

This is without a doubt one of the greatest pieces of art I have ever read. Great detailed art, good story with crazy twists, and the best thing about it is it's far from the runofthemillness most mangas have.

Pretty gory and vulgar scenes. Not bad, not bad at all.

blood make me sick, but i like this manga....

Thrilling & interesting. A great choice of action & gore. However, it's somehow hard to identify the main characters because they just continue to switch places. Too many untied knots, i.e. the black ball. After 20 vols, I still don't gain any single info about it & the whole situation.

I was introduced to Gantz by its anime, wich was quite good, except the last of it, but for my surprise, the manga made the anime series look like crap. I highly recommend this one, it's excellent in all aspects, plot, charters, the fights, the design, etc. give it a try, if u are not afraid of some blood (well, a lot of blood) u won't regret it.

Edit: After finishing I have mixed feelings about this one mostly good ones but still, it has some really great moments, the fights are amazing and so is the art-style and flow of the drawing, it's easy to follow and understand how the movements of the characters and monsters are. Even the romance subplot is good, it's nice to see a MC fall for a regular girl for a change. Plot-wise it's good thou it's a bit far-fetched and there are quite a few unresolved things, also when the why of the spheres is answered I found it kind of weak. On the other hand thou, it takes things to excessive levels, the Shibuya and Osaka arcs for example and the mangaka just loves to be morbid, I recently tried Inuyashiki and can see that it's not just a thing of Gantz, rather the author relishes in depicting human depravity. I also would have liked to see one more chapter, the ending is a bit abrupt. Still I enjoyed it all the same and even think it's a great manga.

the person that says the main character that dies make the manga suck is stupid cause that make the manga more intresting and makes u want to see what will happen and make it more realistic than having it 1 person always winning that gets boring but this is a great manga
