At first, I didn't know what all the hype was about regarding this series, but now, I can't seem to get enough of it. I had a wonderful time reading it and I'm sorry that it ended. Each volume was amazing, and Shimizu Yuki did a good job in telling each person's, each couple's stories that you just can't help but fall in love with each character. Also, illustration got better and better with each volume, and you can see that mangaka grew along with the characters. Now I just gotta figure out what to read after reading something amazing as this.

im...falling in love with this mangaka at quite the quick rate. i feel like she starts with a oneshot, expands into extra side stories and adds a little backstory, expands on the backstory and adds extra characters, expands and keep repeating...HOLY CRAP. and it doesn't feel disjointed or awkward, the story flows together so naturally. i really respect her writing and storytelling. really. it's quite a feat to continue writing in a developing universe. or maybe she had it all planned? haha, who knows.

i really love how the relationship between siblings is portrayed here, especially between reiji and kiichi. it's quite rare for a BL story to correctly portray and convey a close relationship between siblings while not suggesting that it go into ambiguous territory. although reiji and kiichi are shown in very close proximity in some scenes, those scenes never feel sexual in nature at all. amazing job.

reiji x naoya is my favorite couple BY FAR. they are beyond adorable. I LOVE THIS MANGA ;_;

Don't believe the high ratings.

Why the hell is this so highly rated? There's so much rape apologia, it's ridiculous. It's brushed off so easily, it makes me sick. (2 counts of rape on the seme's part, 1 count of serious sexual assault otherwise. Sexual assault used in like every story as a plot maneuver--it's tiring, ridiculous, and repulsive, not to mention lazy writing.) (I wouldn't have been so offended by the rape if they weren't all "no-no-no-YES" or "it's ok because you love me" about it.)
The main character is a cookie cut-out for stereotypical uke; he's incredibly annoying. The main seme doesn't listen when his pursued says "no", but acts like he did nothing wrong after. He's trash. Just because you love someone doesn't mean it's okay to ignore their cries of refusal. It's not sexy or sweet. So stop.
There's all kinds of tedious misunderstandings, and cheesy, old, and terrible Japanese humour.
Same old "but I'm not homo!" and "even if he is homo that's okay"--just shut up already. I can't tell if it's just the translation that's terrible or the writing's actually that bad. It's like a really bad soap opera.
I bore through 4 volumes or so before I skipped to the later volumes to see what all the fuss was about. The art improved but the writing was still horrible. I need brain bleach, ugh.
Don't believe anyone who claims that if you're a BL fan, that you should read this. Save yourself the headache. You haven't seen heart-wrenching until you've read No.6 and Nabari no Ou, or played DMMD's Clear routes.

Different love stories that are all connected and made into a one wonderful read. So much so, that I've read the long manga twice which is a rare occurence on my part.

What I loved most? All the stories were realistic. As were the characters. The characters have debth, something many characters in yaoi manga lack. They're also memorable and stuck with me, a feat not easily reached by other characters I've read about in my life.

The art is not amazing, but it does get better as the story progresses and the level of the art doesn't degrade the manga in any way.

The ending made me cry. Not a sad cry, but a happy cry. One of the best endings I've seen if I do say so myself. And let me point out, that I rarely cry from reading manga but the ending of this one took the cake.

Overall, You're missing out on gold if you skip this one.

Good yaoi

I've been waiting to read this for two, but considering Love Mode's reputation, i wasn't very impressed by the first volumes. But it managed to keep me connected and intrigued so i continued to read it to get my answers, which makes it a good story. I expected to cry a lot though and it wasn't really the case. Even if it has some complicated feelings and sad memories, i wasn't REALLY aggrieved. So it wasn't too memorable for me.
The art wasn't that bad. Takamiya has an awful hair style, but some characters are really hot, and some scenes are priceless.
The best things were the slow development between Reiji and Naoya - not that usual in yaoi, and how the characters are connected, making possible to see how their loves progressed.

Where has this been all my manga life?

Absolutely fantastic. Had a bit of everything I like in a yaoi manga and also some of the stuff I don't like but that was easy enough to overlook. The characters were all likeable and the art was great too. I loved the first story between Izumi and Takamiya and the one with Aoe and Naoya.
It manages to stir up the emotions in places and this is balanced with lightheartedness to make it just right.
Also, if anybody is wondering about the tragedy tag it has on some manga reading sites then don't because I absolutely hate tragedy and it was fine.
I was over-eager to comment on this one because I think it deserves to be congratulated and read by all. Definitely recommended.

Good. It's not such a drama manga, but I was fond of reading it from the beginning to the end. Characters are good and likeable (I even miss them г_г). The plot is rather natural. I can recommend that manga as an exemplary yaoi manga ^_^

I cannot believe I skipped over this manga so many times. I'm not a big fan of 90s art so i kept putting this one off. Man do i regret it. I love this manga, its definitely in my top 5...

From beginning to end my emotions were all of the place, the characters were interesting, the backstory was really interesting, and there's just so much too say. I mean who wouldve expected that Kiichi had such a past, and that Reiji was actually so protective of him, i mean when you look at their current relationship you wouldn't expect it from those two. I mean you can tell they love each other, but the past relationship between them was just really suprising...

and the last volume. Man that volume really got me. I mean, i was so embarrassed to leave my room, my eyes were so red. And one chapter shows a little of Kiichi, and i was like awwww... so, yea read it! Dont put it off because of old art like me, you surely will regret it. Definitely a great story. Oh and im also kinda pissed how she left it off at the end when, Naoya said that to Reiji but whatever. I'm glad she didnt overdo it, but i kinda wish i could see his reaction.

And the side stories were good too!
