i know everyone says it's really good, and i read a bit of it before i saw the ratings, but...if it's going to be as tragic as everyone says it is then i really don't want to read it. i'm not going to put myself through haou airen again.

This manga is so good but it's also very sad, so sad that I don't want to finish reading it. The story is unpredictable because you really don't know if the guy is going to die or not.

A manga with very well deserved fame, history is original, and lasts, but without a doubt what east manga makes so special, is the drawing of its author, that removed tears in one go to you but, the scenes say much more that what the words can get to say, a forced purchase.

That's something you can't often say about shoujo manga. I'm very sure it'll end with his death, because of what he thought at the end of the first chapter, when they promised to marry each other when they turn 20.

I fell in love with this manga the moment I saw one of the volume covers. The art is just GORGEOUS. And I'm also a sucker for childhood romances so this easily appealed to me. if you think the plot sounds like one of those angsty, weepy Korean dramas in which one of the lovers get a terminal disease and then die and blah blah blah cliche... don't worry, this is NOT bland like that and REALLY good. It's not angsty, but bittersweet, and not sappy (I don't think)... as for the "tragic ending" I don't know about other people but I personally suspect that the mangaka has something up her sleeve. Who knows. But that's another great thing about it you know? The plot always keeps you on your toes.

I LOVE Mayu and Takuma together and I'm always trying to refrain myself from bashing my computer screen whenever I see the other third wheels (like the senpai guy and the stupid hospital girl). maaan I really want to see the ending just to make sure they end up together!!!

originally i liked the plot but didn't plan to read it until i read a spoiler...(yes, i know it wrecks the story but I dun wanna read a rili sad story)

This manga unlike others didnt feel like a typical shoujo manga to me. The plot, characters, art, and just everything about it was truly the best. There was many ups and downs as you read on and it gets you pulled right into it. Mayu and Takuma were both hilarious and in many of the heartbreaking scenes I cried. The characters and storyline of this were realistic and something new. Now it has finally come to an end and towards the end i was BEGGING for Takuma to live and not die. But at the end I was satisfied yet very unhappy about the fact that it CAME TO AN END. What can I say, this was absolutely wonderful and one of my very favorites. I kept up with this manga until the very end for years now, so you can tell just about how much I was in LOVE with this manga<3

I fell in love with this manga from the get-go. There are some real emotions here & it's realistic! Any manga that can make me cry is a manga worth reading, & I ddi tear up a couple times. It's a sad story & I read somewhere that this manga is a tragic one... & I'm REALLY hoping that it isn't!!!

i'm on chapter 8 and so far this manga is great....good drama, good comedy, good characters.....not much of a fan of the art, not really my style but,....overall the plots great and the storys interesting, good shit so far.....really feelin it

this is probably one of the best romance series that i am currently reading - the flashbacks and encounters between mayu and takuma are really touching and takuma's conflicting feelings and actions really cause you to empathise with him. for a while i wasn't sure whether i was going to continue with this series because i just couldnt stand it if this turns out to be a tragedy, as it's seemingly going to be, but regardless of how it's going to end, this is a superb romance manga and i would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who has a soft spot for them.
