Kotaro Makaritoru is one of the most beautifully-crafted manga. The foolery of Kotaro never fails to crack laughter while the richness of the characters and the arcs strikes a beautiful balance of comedy, adventure, Mayumi, and nerve-wrecking fights, with the final arc perfectly tying up all the previous arcs together in a deep, resounding adventure that left nothing but a magnificent sort of excellence behind.

There was never a manga character that can bring out so much unexpected emotions as Kotaro in his adventures; the richness of Kotaro's actions never makes things felt repeated or boring. The inseparable laughter, the tension when he is injured and someone needs to be saved, the awesomeness when the fights reached their climax, and the inescapable sadness at the end of it all, are components whose depth and balance few manga can afford to offer.

Its uniqueness and depth makes its arguably one of the most memorable manga to be read of all time.

I honestly can't say it better than how weirdnamelah put it, a simply epic manga with loveable characters, an interesting story and great, classic art.

The author truly knows how to mesh an intence moment with a funny one, without compromising the effects of either. Sometimes while reading, you'll notice some extra stuff going in the background or off to the side that'll just crack you up, leaving you with an overall great feeling. This is a manga whom everyone could love, and it's a great read.
