well bleach is hella fun..... and it aint boring.. it has been dragged but wateve. the comedy is good and the fighting is really good and u get to see more suprises.. i wouldnt want sumthing like that end so fast.. anyways everyone likes it and no one complains so yeah.. its a good manga.

you guys are too whiney >_<... kubodite wanted to make a shounen manga not a shoujou manga >_> of course there wont be as much character developement as a shoujou. but you can see a LOT of character development for ichigo and little bit of character development for the people around him... >_<

I will agree to many of the flamers about how this manga does drag on... seemingly without point. I'd also like to point out the flaws of how it introduces far to many characters and lacks development. An excellent example would be Rukia, where only in the latest chapter (268) we get a mere taste of the morals that drove her, and her actions. Whereas before there was hardly any foreshadowing as to the extent of what/why she did. Anyways there is still premise and potential in this series as it is slowly, but surely introducing more growth into the lacking persona, although I wish that it had been done... much much sooner.

I'd also like to add in how this manga is slowly, but surely on a downhill slope toward DBZ land. Although I do find the current arc very satisfying and justifiable on the premise that the 'hollow-ichigo' were introduced at a very early state, therefore indicating that these events tie together.

All in all (up to chapter 291), the manga is pretty good, has provided a nice requiem in comparison to further sub-par storylines, definitely plays its part in setting the base and standard for shounen along with Naruto, 666Satan, AirGear and the like. Although, the rerun-ic and powerup + bosses do get tiring.
9/10 Overall.

i agree, the manga drags on... imean, they've already spent what, 5 chapters on teh arnillo/kaien thingy... its so annoying, i hope they get back to the vizards soon, they were interesting. still though, i've seen more satisfying content than boring content in this series so far, so im willing to keep looking at it in a good light.

The big problem with Bleach is, Kubo Tite has a lot of trouble getting to the point. When you look back, not a whole lot happened in Soul Society and yet it lasted about 13 volumes. Therefor, reading Bleach in small chunks can be quite frustrating; and checking every week for a new chapter is something I strongly advice against. However, there is a lot in Bleach to like (even though it's easy to lose sight of those qualities). You know you all loved it to bits when you were able to read 20 volumes in a short amount of time (because thats about the time its popularity peaked and everyone started reading it), and that's how this fight-shounen should be experienced.
There's a strong emphasis on style over substance, something I'm usually not very fond of. But in Bleach I think it works, cause there's just about enough intrigue to keep reading in between all the badass fights and pretty people. It's a heck of a lot better than Oh! Great's stuff for sure (which I just consider unreadable dreck).
I guess it's also the style of the house. Jump series simply drag on and on, once they become popular enough. They try to stretch every last penny out of it. There are no exceptions on this rule; even One Piece (which I absolutely adore and consider miles and leagues beyond anything in Jump ever) is plagued by tedious battle scenes that are nothing more but clutter. And when you take into account that Bleach doesn't really have a deep, long story; it all makes sense.
It's quite hard to rate this manga before it ends; cause when something goes on for as long as this, the ending and how the loose ends will be tied up are crucial in deciding on a representative score.

Everything up untill they enter Hueco Mundo gets a solid 8. Hueco Mundo gets a 1. I mean sure, fight-shounen... but the fights aren't even interesting one bit. At least 7 volumes down the drain.
The latest flashback really upped the ante; but it'll probably be too little, too late. A decent 6.

i really hate manga tht drag on for ageeeeeesssss, like naruto, inuyasha, ranma 1/2, theyre like neverending! the manga was interesting, but then it was repetitive and boring

the story was fun. until....

yeah we all know. as soon as rukia was saved they should have pretty much wrapped it up. or at least continued with the story in a sensible manner. do we ever see his family again in nearly 5 volumes? no. I don't think so. and do they ever go to school. no.

it lost all its fun.....and now its just like berserk. just putting out volumes for the hell of it.

Now if it had more girls...

I have to say, Bleach is good. It's good to enjoy for that 2 minutes it takes for a person to read one issue. Then you can pretty much throw it away. At its current length 250+, the series has long lost its freshness.

Bleach is better than Naruto (fighting-wise), but worse than Eyeshield 21 {charakter-wise), so I give it 8.5 XD
