Quiet good for now

I think the idea of story is interesting. Just ignore some fan service in the manga (I'm a girl anyway, see boobs n panties don't excite me :lol smile , this manga is quiet good... Because right now there are still 2 volumes released, i'll wait for further development of the manga. It remain me of American TV Series "The Lost" (But i only watch first season... not interesting enough for me).
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Oh yeah, it's odd for me how that glasses guy recharge his laptop?? Although they desserted in prehistoric jungle with no electricity, his laptop always on.
And in ch. 12 he fell into the ocean... he didn't bring his laptop... Assume it was left behind on the island.
It will really odd if the laptop cames out to the next chapter on stand by mode ^^
I can't wait the day when the laptop shut down

A survival manga with potential!

It actually feels weird reading this manga after the Air France Flight 447 crash several days ago. I am now at chapter 9. What I can say about this manga is that it has potential; the pacing is good, the character design is okay/good, the story is quite straight forward at this moment, but I guess future chapters will be different. The mangaka does a nice job of showing the fear and true nature of man in extreme conditions showed in the manga. Also the manga is quite informative; the laptop of one of the heroes has the data about the prehistoric creatures in the manga - although no dinosaurs are seen yet in the manga; so it's not really "Lost World". I think this manga is closer to "Highschool of the Dead" by Daisuke Sato, which is also "survival" manga, but this time with zombies. Overall, they have the same feel and atmosphere.

Temp Score: 8.2/10

this is good shit. the fear and psychological aspects of this manga so far have been top notch, as well as the reactions of several prominent characters. it is a bit stereotypical for there to be a nerd, at least one invincible guy, a hot chick, and a strong willed, dependable guy [which is our main character, no surprise]. this could be compared to lost, but there aren't many mangas like this. the suspense makes up for the mediocre art, and the intellectual dialogue and plot for any originality. so far the 8 chapters are interesting, so i'll stay and see where this series leads up.

Lost World: High School Edition

This manga's setting is different from other manga's but the premise has already been done in Lost World, Lost, Robinson Crusoe, and a ton of other works in a much more realistic fashion.

The characters and behaviors are too cliche. As someone who accidentally ran into a bear, I can say for certain that the sudden adrenaline rush will force you to act. Anyone who freezes when a dangerous animal is coming would not have survived long enough to procreate.

Overall, I don't really see anything special about this manga. It's just applies the same manga characters to a new setting.

This one is a manga i picked up cause it looked interesting, as i was reading i was introduced to the characters, i funny thing is i didn't hate a single one of them, i start reading something Catastrophic happens, BOOM! Island, BOOM! Extinct Animals... And Then as i continued to read, i came across the video scene, sufficed to say, it was disgusting, it's not because it was that extreme, it's just how realistic and tribal one must feel, i was disturbed, with attempted rape, and killings... All in all i believe this has allot of potential, This is pretty amazing, not Evangelion by any means, but it can become something special. But It gives you satisfaction, and thats what everyone wants, so as long as i feel this is good, it's a 10

In some ways, Cage of Eden seems to have some inspiration from the popular TV show "Lost", from some of the character's personalities to the main setting itself. However, there are some differences, such as the age of most characters and extinct animals inhabiting the island.

Whether there will be other similarities or not as the series progress is up in the air, but other than that, this seems like a good series for WSM, and hopefully the rest of the chapters will make this series distance itself from Lost.
