All the bad reviews I've read surprise me. I found this to be a great manga. I wasn't as pleased with the final outcome as I was with Ichigo 100% but it was still satisfying. In all for a romance style manga as it was I can give it a solid 9. The artistry was great the story touching and though I personally preferred a different girl for him to end up with, I refuse to spoil anything by saying more than that, even the choice he made still felt right. The only thing I felt could have been better was the story of his choice of career was left vague and seemed almost tossed in. A must read in my book, I can't wait for there to be more of her work.

Utsumi falls in and out of love repeatedly. He also falls into precarious situations with girls repeatedly. We see him in extreme bliss then we see him in utter sorrow. This is a drab manga with boring characters and a dull story. It rotates from school setting to out in the city to a Japanese festival. The plot is merely falling in and out of love.

There are no interesting side stories, no unique characters, no charming incidences or humorous occasions.

Fans of Twilight and the Hunger Games should definitely read this. Illiterate and shallow people will find something at their reading level that they can identify with in this manga.

I've read up to chapter 44, but I'm seeing where this is going, so I'll put it on hold at least for a while. The reason? Simple:
The story is not bad, but the main guy just pisses me off too much. I could bear with him being just weak and a little indecisive, but he's worse than that. He basically thinks with his penis. And what's more is that he also feels all guilty just to repeat the same mistakes everytime! I mean, seriously? I don't know if he'll be able to grow up a little in the next chapters, but right now he provokes too much rage in me to handle. So, if you're searching for a MC you can sympathize with, I don't recommend this manga. If you don't mind, then the story is fine.

Apparently most people generally didn't like where this manga went. I actually had no issues with it... maybe I just had lower expectations? I was like, 'Kay, I'm here for pointless drama and over-the-top romance that I could read a chapter of, every couple weeks, and not get bored of.' In that regard, I feel like I got what I came for.

I suppose there were several things that keep me around. Like, the art's really awesome and fresh. Also I really enjoy the jokes, a lot of the character interaction, and the dynamics between the secondary characters all the way through the story. I found the creator to be rather clever, on those points. As well, the pacing and comedic timing are always pretty slick in this.

I feel like the main issue was what seems to happen in a lot of popular manga--it's like you can hear the mangaka going, 'Oh crap, people still like this? Okay, how else can I stir up junk for the characters to deal with so we can keep it going... the publisher won't let me end it!'

As the title suggests, this manga was way too long IMHO. It really just needed 3 volumes to get the same messages across. Cliche events, check. Forced love polygons, check. If the author broke down the stories and focused on the different couples, instead of rushing them, I believe the manga as a whole would have been better. But, instead she dragged the main romance, from the beginning to the end, and it got really awkward.

I found this really similar to Kimi no Iru Machi, but with much less development.

So much potential. Lost potential. After the 1st Shou arc the story went downhill from shonen romance/possible harem manga into tear-breaking shojo-esque soap opera. I'm very sad I started this manga and had my hopes up thinking that maybe, one chapter, it will go back to its origins.

Honestly I liked the manga at first, it showed premise not to be another cliched unrealisticx10 harem story. Well the whole thing is unbelievably predictable (up to chapter 150) with the only unpredictable twist being the one that enraged all the japanese Otakus

Character development is horrible too, Male lead stays an emotionally unstable wuss for most of the time, female lead actually has reverse character development (from strong willed personality to emotional frailty caused by a trauma that she suddenly cant get over with). Well the other girls have acceptable developments at least. It seems to get worse but thank god its looking like this one's ending soon with a cliched "Good Ending". Could have been a (for a shounen romance) good Manga but dragged on for too long and introduced too much unnecissary and unlogical drama

Good character design and seemingly decent story at first...
Then it's just a long downhill slope despite the good premise.
I used to rate this manga an 8, at first, then after around 100 chapters (I kept hope up) I realized that it's just an agonizingly long and strange "romance" story. The main character just agonizes over one thing after the other and is an incredible crybaby, and can never make up his mind. Incredibly weak and stupid.
Not to mention certain plot parts that make no sense what-so-ever, nor do the characters' reactions to them.

I do not recommend this manga, unless you're actually into having an annoying after-taste after each chapter.

Having a girl demand to be raped in the same location she previously had a similar trauma to "overwrite the memory" is a pretty clear flagpost for when to stop reading this manga. After that arc plays itself out in the most retarded way the entire manga just loses it's mind. There are so many other ways that storyline could have been resolved as the girl clearly has damage she needs to deal with but instead the author decides to throw credibility out the window and have the manga take a 90 degree turn into crazyland.

The problem with romance manga is always the fact that people in love and happy together is not terribly interesting if you don't have the writing talent to make it bounce. SASUGA Kei doesn't have that talent so she takes the contrived bullshit route instead and ruins her characters. I would recommend this manga but once the whole demanding to be raped thing comes up you should just stop because it's all steeply downhill from there.
