Well, this is kinda sci-fi and kinda fantasy. Kinda reminds me of Psyren.
Story-wise it started pretty well but towards the middle and end it was starting to be quite confusing, with all the plot twists and mind-turning happenings.
Characters were mostly quite well-fleshed, though the 2 main MCs were kinda inconsistent. Personalities sort of change suddenly and by a lot as well, but then again in a post-apocalyptic world with plot twists it is not that rare or hard to accept.
Art sometimes were brilliant, but sometimes it was just confusing. Especially some action scenes, where there were fighting what not, which were particularly confusing.
Overall, an interesting post-apocalyptic world series, which has plenty of drama and action, though quite confusing at times.

The art, with it's thick outer lines it's captivating at first...and after 1-2 volumes it's charm just vanish. It look like a cartoon more than a manga I thought. The one thing worst than the feeling you get from watching the drafts are the characters, the main girl is plain and annoying...the long story short - empty characters, their dark past is dark just for the sake of having s/o with dark past...and the bad guy

The start was good. Like, seriously. It was amazingly sci-fi (in the end, overdose though) and it had a good amount of gore mixed in.
The concept was weird, though.
The manga though, tried too hard to add comedy
Plus, the romance was...barely there and...unneeded. Well it might has been needed in the last part as Marco (Marcus?) cheated death to get back to her side...but one thing: there shouldn't be angels on the 'human' side of river Styx. :/ But other then that, nope, not needed.
This manga was okay...nothing too great about it, and nothing to really hype over. A lil' too confusing (like Qualia the Purple, in all honesty, about the level of confusion, but this was less confusing) but otherwise okay. Not suggested to read, unless you've really got time on your hands. Tons of time to kill.

the twins, the CIA, hackers, monsters, computers, thorns, random disease...it was so weird it was confusing, the concept. How everything was a computer programme? and how everything was actually made by the twin. At the end, I thought it was the twin who took over the main in the capsule, thus the bandage. In the end, the main somehow didn't die falling off the cliff and her twin...Medusa took over her.
The concept of Medusa in itself is confusing, especially since I read this manga in two parts-about 1/2 a day apart. I stopped at the climax-around the end, when Marco (or was it Marcus?) was fighting Zeus. The thorns and how they grow are extremely strange, too. It's confusing and hard to grasp, even if you think hard. Overall, Medusa and the thorns are hard to understand. Too hard. It's not like I like no brainer mangas, but this one is seriously...you need to crack your head open to understand it. It's hard.

like when Tim was going to transform into a...'solider'? They had to remove his helmet first, and there was an entire frame on the confusion of the plant which was probably meant to be funny.
, and that really spoiled the flow of the manga. It wasn't really that seat-gripper, but the random spurts of comedy inbetween really broke everything up.Plus, the romance was...barely there and...unneeded. Seinen? Please. It degenerated into something shounen within the last ten chapters or so.
Everything was moving very smoothly. I thought, here is a good manga that has a good focus of plot, and also of characters. The cast was fine, people died, and there was the mystery setting of, what is going on? It wasn't the best, but it was doing more than fine and I was curious to read up until the point where it suddenly decided to change from a survival/what-the-hell-happened-while-we-were-asleep aspect to a very protag-centric story. The "villain" was power crazy, it was degenerating, the chapters at the end literally just had them all gather and just the "big reveal" between the protag and her sister (not a spoiler, shizuku is a thing from the beginning), but just--
The big reveal wasn't a reveal, and the ending was a distasteful clusterfuck that made no sense, tried to pull a twist^2, and failed. I'm disappointed. I wanted it to be good enough to rec to my friends, and for the most of the twenty and thensome chapters, it was. The romance had no place in there (and I'm saying this because the romance REALLY could have been done away with it, it affected nothing--and it had such a tacked on feel. It developed nothing, it was just THERE, for the protag's self-confidence bolstering, really), and really, with how it was RUSHING, I thought it was a manga waiting to be axed or something.
Anyway, great to start, but you'll be disappointed by the end. You do have some good characters. Kathryn's story out of all of them was the best of all for the sheer fact that it was subtle, and we were actually shown stuff about it and how it affected her motivations and decisions. Everyone else wasn't really given enough care except Kasumi, but considering it's all focused on her (and in the end does it poorly), don't consider that a plus.

wtf with kasumi? 1 second she's scaredy cat and another second she become brave then back to scared mode and become brave again. i can relate this to final part but it's annoying to see her.
for me everything is fall apart since the blond become bird with boobs ,, i can't follow the story since then. (my friend ask me to watch the movie but i haven't)

The story started out exceedingly promising, a pretty chilling look at a thorn encased future none of the characters knew how it came into existence. I greatly enjoyed the beginning of the manga, with all its mystery and suspense, then as it came into the middle rising arc and the mystery slowly began to unravel I was looking forward to see the progression of the story. It was SO GOOD! Then… then Zeus happens. (Is that a spoiler? More like a warning…)
Plot- As I said before, the plot is very promising. The setting is wonderfully creepy, and the scenario that places the characters into that horrible world so full of questions that I couldn’t help but read on. Secrets entwine around the place, and as they are slowly revealed they hint at a grand climax and some deeper secret that no one truly knows about. I was looking forward to that secret, excited to see how everything would end. Then… then… then it just falls apart. I think what disappointed me most about the ending was how horribly opposite it was to the beginning. While the beginning was gory and frightening the end was strangely… happy? It doesn’t fit in with the story, and when the very end was unraveling I had a hard time believing it still was part of the original story I had read. While I liked how things were going for quite a while, at the end when Zeus revealed his plot it… ugh.
Characters- I enjoyed each character, their relationships and was at the edge of my seat as I read of their struggle to survive. I truly did enjoy them all, only wished their relationships, character and past could have been dwelt on for more. The work could have been drawn out a bit and offered us more of a glimpse of life they lived while trying to survive. I really enjoyed Kasumi, a very deep character especially at the end (she’s about the only thing that gets better at the end…). One thing though, and I know this might sound strange, I was expecting their lives to be a bit more tragic.
Art- The art was amazing, gritty and edgy and dark and perfect for the story!
Other- Medusa should have been explained more, I felt like it was partly forgotten…. I still don’t really understand what exactly it does.
6/10- Liked it

I mean come on! Big fluffy warrior people? What’s with them, they look… so stupid! When I first saw them I couldn’t believe they were in the same manga as all those dinosaur creatures from before. But that wasn’t the worst part. The whole death scene with Marco? What was the mangaka trying to do? Was that supposed to be more Greek mythology? Well it failed, and I HATED that part! I wish the end had less to do with stupid Zeus (it could have included him… but not his stupid god warriors) and more to do with Kasumi and Shizuku. And the VERY last panel? Stupid Marco -.-
Believe the reviews when they say the end is HORRIBLE! I was expecting something tragic, or at least bitter sweet, and all I got was… happy, happy, happy.Characters- I enjoyed each character, their relationships and was at the edge of my seat as I read of their struggle to survive. Like in the end… how do they stop Medusa’s effects? You know what… I’m not even going to speculate.
Do I recommend it? Eh… maybe. If you like these kinds of horror/survival manga, then maybe. You probably won’t enjoy the end (no one really has I don’t think…) but the beginning is pretty great. Now I haven’t watched the anime yet, but I do know it ends differently than the manga (a little more tragic I believe…) so maybe watch that instead of reading this.6/10- Liked it

I liked this a lot. I helped clean some of the scans way in the beginning (I think in chapter 11?), and I have always been hooked since.
The hints of romance is odd, considering who Kasumi really is (but hey, Medusa is powerful). On the other hand, so many people are really confused about the ending and the omake. The omake is an omake!
However, seeing the way Marco Owen smile at the very end gave me the chills. It and his peaceful expression look so weird compared to his gloomy, angry, and enraged ones.

Mmm - yeah, that was pretty good, I guess. I'm far from blown away by it - there's just something there that didn't click for me. It gets kind of into American-action/survival-horror-movie-mode, which is nice and all but not really all that engaging. Reminds me of that movie with the walking sharks in the underwater base, only with bigger monsters.
The characters are all fairly bland, and follow their stereotype to the letter. They work well enough, but they're not exactly grippping to follow around.
