I adore this series! It's a refreshing break from all the smut and super-girly annoying protagonists. Koukou Debut is a light-hearted story and always makes me laugh every time I read it.

this is an adorable series, very light-hearted, something to read after you just finished a tear-jerking chapter of some other intense shoujo.

Yoh and Haruna never cease to make me smile

It's a guilty pleasure to read because it's oh so cliche'd, but satisfying nonetheless. Really though.

There's nothing dreadfully deep or meaningful about this manga, it's just a really great girly romance that throws in just enough cliche to make sure your comfortable and just enough twist to keep you coming back.

Really this manga starts annoying me its always the same thing,haruna gets on my nerve at the beginning i found it interesting but there is no evolution in spite of its the vol10 i don't see the difference between the first volume really disappointing

Like some are saying here the manga was really great, truly it began unique but then it went down the drain, right now at chapter 39 volume 10 the story is still at its downward spiral. I know that some of you are expecting the story to go back up again but i have read future chapters and believe me it does not improve in the least. This is from an ex-debut fan.

This has is truely a fun manga i couldnt stop laughing thru most of it... It has some twisted charicters tho... I honestly think this manga's good points is that you can identify with the people in it, and you dont feel like you have read hundreds of others just like it because of it's freshness... I can't wait for the next issue i love this

I really love this manga. Yoh and haruna look good together and I really love all the sweet moments they have together. I don't know why but the typical shoujo scenes and cliches looks somewhat more heartfelt and sweet. There are many moments in this manga that made me squeal and my heart flutter. Really really love Yoh all the way!

I normally despise shoujo, but something about this is just great! I love love love Haruna's resolute but optimistic attitude. I can't say her obliviousness is really original but it just makes for a really cute story. Yoh is so awkward, I love him. <3

If you're in the mood for a manga that will make you laugh, then this is it. I don't think the characters are stale at all mainly because I'm tired of seeing the heroine cry all the time because he cheated, or he accidently kissed another girl, or they became a long distance couple, or countless of other dumb reasons. When Haruna cries, it's because she's so happy or pleased. She's a quirky (...really simple minded) girl and Yoh is the sexy, tall quiet boyfriend type who's incredibly sweet and they compliment each other well. A few things are cliche but the humor really overcomes everything else. It's a nice escape from mindless plots like other shoujos. I'm really enjoying the fact that it's not really heading to a big argument or a big drama because let's face it, in real life, do we actually have (or want for that matter) huge dramas like in shoujo? It's a step closer to my reality anyways which is why I keep re-reading this manga. It ALWAYS makes me laugh.

This story is so superly cute! It amazed me of how much the artwork improved during the 9 volumes that I read.. Seriously, if yuu love shoujo manga, you'll definitely love this one too!

~update : Is it just me or the artwork is getting weirder...
