With its earlier release date than Maeda-sensei's other three tankobons, it was exceptionally well done in comparison. The ending was still Maeda-sensei's typical unrealistic and brief rip-off after a brilliant 3/4 investment *curses and shakes fist*, but it had elements that partly redeemed it. Elements such as beautifully detailed art (the chapel and the outfits!) and a touching second chapter about the steward of the playboy and a unique sort of relationship for a yaoi story that actually developed with consistent drama, angst and psychological delivery levels (for a shocking change!).

Chapter one, which focuses on the priest and playboy was most annoying for the non-existent addressing of what would be a major crisis of conscience; it barely registers as a blip. That part drove me crazy: How could someone so devoted to this god, be okay with no addressing of the enormous issues brought up? Yup, we shall see that Maeda-sensei has a problem with delivery consistency which leads to great disappointment because of extremely well done parts that lead to unfulfilled expectations.
